Today we say goodbye to Julie, after 10 years of driving for us julie is moving out of the area to be closer to her grandchildren. From infants, primary, secondary and college Julie has transported a whole generation of local children to school, swimming, Zoos, and the seaside. Famous for her children in need dressing up, she’s always put a smile on peoples faces. We wish her well on her move and will no doubt see her in a coach park somewhere soon.

New year, new career??
As we drive into an exciting 2023 we have some vacancies to join our team based in Chatteris.
We pride ourselves on being
‘not just people carriers, but people carers’
This relates to both customers and our tight knit working team.

* Full time coach driver- our full time drivers have a varied work profile, including private contracts, school trips, sports fixtures, corporate travel and some UK touring. 40 hours minimum with potential to earn more.

* School bus drivers- typically working 07:00-09:00 and 14:15-16:15 on local contracts. Work school time only but be paid 52 weeks of the year. Allocated route and vehicle, and potential to work weekends if this work is of interest.

* PSV engineer required to work within our existing team. Previous coach/ bus experience and PSV license desirable (driver training can be supported) Duties to include pre-planned maintenance, identifying and rectifying defects using diagnostic systems and MOT preparation. Must be able to work in a team but also use own initiative. Mon-Fri with some weekend on call duty. Rate negotiable dependent on candidate experience.

Getting emails like this really brighten our day.

To whom this may concern,

I'm writing to give a special mention to one of your coach drivers, Doug, who took St. John Ambulance from Huntingdon to London on Saturday 25/06/2022.

He was kind, understanding, patient and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience.

One of our participants was wheelchair-bound (joined at last minute so didn't have time to request accessible coach). He made sure her needs were met at all times with dignity and care by ensuring the wheelchair was ready and she was supported off the coach.

He worked with us to identify the parking spots that were most convenient for us and was easily contactable at all times. One of our party had mobility issues and he was very happy to provide an additional drop-off on both occasions at short notice to ensure their experience was met.

In view of that, he then added in a trip to the services to ensure our group returned happy.

Doug is a credit to your organisation - please make sure you pass it on to him.
