Royle Safaris Royle Safaris excels in providing innovative, quality safaris, wildlife holidays and wildlife tours to some of the most amazing destinations in the world.
(18)

With a great selection of wildlife tours tailored to view some of the rarest wildlife around. We specialize in wildlife holidays to countries which are often difficult to get to and navigate around; however it is often these countries which provide some of the greatest wildlife spectacles. All our safari holidays are unique in that they are on a full board basis, with a reference book library con

taining some of the best field guides provided, a DVD library available for evenings and bad weather days which contains wildlife documentaries about the region we are in as well as having and English speaking professional zoologist or local researchers or scientists each day. These unique points as well as using the latest wildlife watching technology, our preference for small groups and even private tours for 1 or 2 people, coupled with maximizing the time spend viewing animals and the fact that a lot of our safaris visit countries and regions not available with other safari holiday providers, makes our wildlife tours and wildlife holidays the best for the wildlife enthusiasts. Travelling to some of the best locations for wildlife watching in the world we maximize the time spent in the field to find and observe the focus wildlife of the holiday; whether this is whale watching, birding or any of our other types of tours. With a qualified and professional zoologist or researcher acting as a guide and es**rt on each tour we aim to provide the best understanding of the animals we see on each wildlife tour safari. As well as having a professional zoologist or researcher on each tour we enlist the best local guides to help us in our search for the most endangered and hard to find animals and the perfect wildlife encounter. Whether it is tracking in the rainforests of Rwanda & Uganda on a mountain gorilla trek or spotlighting during a nocturnal search for Tasmanian devils on an Australia wildlife holiday, we have a wide range of wildlife tours visiting countries all over the world. Combing luxury with a passion for wildlife we believe we provide the best and most comprehensive wildlife tours and wildlife holidays. We currently offer over 50 different expert guided, full board safari holidays all over the world, so we are confident you will find the safari of your dreams. We have some of the most brilliant and unique whale watching tours which focus on the largest animals to share our planet. So if you would like an unique adventure where you could watch orcas beaching themselves onto the beach in search of seal pups in Patagonia or snorkel with huge pods of beluga whales in Canada; of if you would prefer more traditional whale watching for humpbacks, s***m whales, minke whales and even blue whales we have a great range of whale watching holidays where you will find your ideal whale watching experience. When you book any of our whale watching tours or any of our other wildlife watching tours you can be safe in the knowledge that we use professional zoologist or researchers as es**rts as well as expert local guides which increases the chances of finding the target wildlife and getting as close as possible. Our wildlife holidays are constantly being updated with better itineraries and new destinations all the time. We are looking to include specialist tours to find jaguars, Iberian lynxes, orang-utans, clouded leopards and plenty of other rare and endangered wildlife for 2012; so please keep visiting the site to keep up to date with our most current whale watching holidays, wildlife tours and safaris. Specializing in finding elusive tigers throughout their range; we have a variety of different tiger safaris leaving for the central Indian parks as well as other countries where they live; and as a result we have a great chance of finding many tigers and observing some very interesting behaviour! We have an excellent variety of tiger safaris in India, which is the the most common destination for tiger safaris. but you can also track down tiger on foot in Bangladesh, watch tigers from elephant back in Nepal and even follow in the footsteps of the BBC series Lost Land of the Tiger and search for the tigers in Bhutan. But our most exciting tiger watching holiday we offer is our Siberian tiger tracking tour which is the only tour in the world which will offer you the chance of finding both wild Siberian tigers and Amur leopards. This tour will be available from 2012 and we cannot recommend this adventure enough. If you do not find the best tour for you in our current holidays, please visit our tailor made tours page and contact us with information about your dream tour and our team of wildlife and travel experts will get back to you with the best safari and prices for you to accept if everything meets your requirements.

Pictures of the Day! (part 3 or 3) These pictures are from Royle Safaris' second Sichuan Mammals Tour which was run in May 2024. Together with our early trip in 2024 we were very successful and a total of 47 species of mammals were seen including 4 giant panda sightings! As well as the giant pandas and numerous red pandas we had some great sightings including Chinese mountain cat, Tibetan wolf, Tibetan fox, steppe polecat and other species of the Tibetan plateau and then in our final destination (Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve) we had great views of Sichuan takins, Chinese goral, Chinese serow, Reeve's muntjac as well as an Asiatic black bear. We were very successful with all of our targeted species and many more which we didn't expect of target specifically. This is the trip report of the second of these back to back tours. The final total of species seen was very high, with 47 species of mammals recorded and an impressive 150 plus species of birds, and just 2 species of reptiles and 1 amphibians (however in the late winter / early spring period here many of the herpetofauna are still hibernating).

We have filled our 2025 Sichuan Mammals Tours now but we will be looking for open out 2026 trip dates soon and for anyone interested in visiting Sichuan for pandas can contact me direct or comment here.

Pictures of the Day! In April 2024 Royle Safaris ran a private tailored tour for a couple (Mr & Mrs Fletcher) to Nepal and India. The trip was focused around the wildlife of Bardia National Park and also red pandas in the east of Nepal. Due to some unseasonably warm weather in the Kachenjunga region we did fail to see a red panda (for the first time in many years) however this was more than compensated for with some amazing sightings in Bardia. Including views of two different tigers, a huge male Asiatic elephant, nice large gharials and many other species.
The trip was finished off with a short stop in India to see the incredible Taj Mahal.
This is a great example of the kind of tailored private itinerary that we can organise. So if you are interested in visiting any parts of the Indian Subcontinent please contact us here or email [email protected] and we will happily put together an itinerary and quote for you.

Pictures of the Day! In April 2024 Royle Safaris ran another primate focused trip to Vietnam. Once again the trip was a great success with all primate targets seen including two species which had been elusive for us in the past (but now our guides seem to have figured out a way of seeing them with some reliability), these being southern white-cheeked gibbons and northern buff-cheeked gibbons which were both seen in Bach Ma National Park.
Along with the amazing variety of primates seen on the trip we were lucky in also seeing a pair of Annamite Muntjacs (the video on this post is from this trip and the picture is from our guide Luc Nygen from a trip he took the month prior - he has now seen this species on 4 trips this year and is confident of reliable sightings of this seldom seen forest ungulate), as well as Malay porcupine, gaur, common palm civet and many more.

Royle Safaris runs this 2 week mammalwatching trip to Vietnam annually and we have availability on our April 2025 trip for anyone interested. Please let us know here, or contact us at [email protected].
