We welcomed over 100 happy dogs last year, many for the second time 🐶
Cheddar & The Gorge are so dog friendly and there is so much to see & do.

Great post showing how close to the Gorge we are and where Cheddar Gorge is located - spot us on the map!

Located in Somerset, Cheddar Gorge is the largest gorge in England.
It's 400 feet deep and 3 miles long, making it a spectacular sight.
It was formed 1 million years ago during the last Ice Age and is now a National Trust site.

Do you know the origins of Cheddar cheese? 🤔🧀
One of the most popular theories is that it was accidentally invented by a milk maid who left a bucket of milk in a cave. While there are many rumours about how the cheese came about, what we do know for certain is that it first came about here in the Cheddar area back in the 12th century.
Cheese is still traditionally aged this way in Gough's Cave by The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company, and you can spot where it's stored with your Cheddar Gorge & Caves Day Ticket this National Cheddar Day.

Dogs love Owley Woods and happy dogs means happy guests 😁 so many stunning walks direct from the gate, doggy play paddocks & welcome packs. Lots of rabbits & squirrels to watch for entertainment, and of course there’s always sausages from the BBQ 🔥
Cheddar Village is super dog friendly with lots of places to eat and visit. A trip to the caves maybe? Or a game of crazy golf? ⛳️
