Nerves, excitement, tummy flutters, last minute stress, elation and joy. You might be feeling all of these, you might not. You just never know until you get in the car.

But that’s when it usually hits you, the enormity of what’s to come. My job is to react to those emotions and help if I can. Whether that’s with plenty of distracting girly chatter or by being quiet, letting you talk with your passengers. Sometimes it’s as simple as a bottle of water or a fan to help with the flushes of nerves and excitement. It’s hanging back, letting the last guests shoot past, keeping you hidden, keeping you calm.

15 years on, my approach to weddings is the same whether it’s my first or last of the year. I constantly strive to ‘go the extra mile’ (good pun - ha!!) and give the best service possible.

You are my everything; my number one. I’ve got you.

This comment from a couple who booked us recently shows how we always endeavour to help if we can, go that extra mile if you like (pun intended). Weddings are a lot right now. Everything is, right? We made it work, and we can’t wait to be a small but important part of their procession. Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be a 16 hour day. It’s rare that we do days that long, many of your other suppliers absolutely do. Hello venues, planners and photographers 👋 to name a few. Not really sure where I’m going with this, just that we do this job because we love it, we have something to give, and every booking gives a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Oh, and please don’t ghost us. It genuinely hurts every time.

This week we have mostly been testing AI and the first question we asked was, “Why should I hire Kushi Cars in the Cotswolds?” Actually really impressed with the answer. The ever present grey skies are giving us the best autumnal show this year. Warm, calm days and zero wet weather equals vibrant golds, reds and yellows everywhere. Gorgeous!🍂 We are soon to finish ‘24 with our last wedding at . However, we’ll be back there next month to meet some of our 2025 couples at their open day on Sunday 8th December.

Personal post: August was a rollercoaster of a month, as I knew it would be. It started with both teens away at festivals (Boardmasters and Boomtown) and our first trip as a couple without them. The nerves surrounding our eldest getting A-level results and securing a place at uni were insane. Then there was me turning 50. How is that possible? Surely, I’m only 35?! And then, just a week later, it was our youngest’s GCSE results and the stress of getting into sixth form. All in the space of one week!
As well as turning the big Five-O, it was also the anniversary of because, yanno, I bought an Ambassador wedding car on my birthday. What a present, babes!

There’s been lots to celebrate, that’s for sure, but always and forever, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful car. She brings joy to everyone she meets, and I’m one very lucky (old) lady to call her mine.

15 years together and many more to come I hope 💞
