Here's an idea for you Starmer. Cut Overseas Aid (£12 Bn), stop spending millions to house migrants in hotels, cancel the money for countries to fight climate change (£11 Bn).
There is no financial black hole, you have created one to justify bad spending decisions you want to make. We see right through your lies!

It is illegal immigration NOT irregular. Bring back Boris !

BORIS JOHNSON REFUSES TO HOLD BACK AGAINST STARMER. The former Prime Minister has accused Starmer of "changing the language" around the small boats crisis.

He said: "Instead of tackling the problem, they appear to be changing the language we use to discuss it so that we should no longer refer to the cross-Channel traffic as ‘illegal’ migration, but only as ‘irregular’ migration,"

"It is also an abuse of the language. You might as well say that shoplifters are no longer guilty of theft but ‘irregular’ shopping and that those drunk at the wheel are guilty of ‘irregular’ driving."

Boris added: "Far from deterring the gangs, Labour have announced an amnesty for 100,000 who were going to be deported – so that they will now be claiming asylum in the UK, and, inevitably, living here," he claimed

This man says it as it is ...

JEREMY CLARKSON SLAMS KIER STARMER & LABOUR. The TV star said in the Sun: “I have a terrible feeling, though, that with Starmer it’ll be worse than ever.

“I fear that underneath his Playmobil hair, he’s a card-carrying socialist who’s supported by a vegan, Britain-hating BLT+ army with a rainbow flag that features seven colours. Red, red, red, red, red, red and red...

He said in a previous column: “They want open borders, zero growth and everyone living in a bucket of shame because their great great grandad once bought a hairbrush that had possibly been made by slaves.

“Their manifesto contains just 87 words on farming. Which, when translated into English basically say: ‘We hate you, you meat-eating rural halfwits.’”

Do you agree with Jeremy?

BOOKS WANTED 📚

Last year, Cheltenham Racecourse launched the Gold Cup 100 Community Fund which provided grants to local good causes, schools and charities.

Proceeds were raised through initiatives like the sale of the very popular limited edition playing cards.

This upcoming season we are opening a second-hand horse racing bookstore in the Cheltenham Gift Shop.

The proceeds from all sales will go directly to the GC100 Community Fund to be distributed back into the local community.

If you have any second-hand racing books you would like to donate, please contact: [email protected]

We will be taking donations in advance of the racing season --- and on race days themselves.

A great article showing some of the great work over the Cheltenham Paint Festival

The Cheltenham Paint Festival has returned for 2024. First taking place in 2017 it is now a firmly established fixture on the UK Street Art Festival

I walked to Hales Road today to capture an image of the mural.
It's on the end wall of one of the 3 white houses virtually opposite the chiropractor.

I'm driving up to view this tomorrow

So I walked to County Court Road from Boots corner to view the controversial "horses mural", painted during the Cheltenham Paint Festival .

My opinion is that it is a great improvement to the area and the muted tones blend in with the stone of the nearby buildings .

A massive shoutout to Andy (despite the lack of respect 🤭), Josh, Mark, and the rest of the crew for the wonderful organization and the good times. You rock ❤️ Also to all the artists I got to hug again, and all the new friends I made. I hope to see you all soon again 💜✨

With over 100 locations to see art at, our map is now covering the whole town so a paper map is impossible unfortunately. This year we have improved our online map and audio guide on guide.ai app. Download the app and register and you'll find our map on their list. Its pretty big though so download it at home before you come to the festival. At only £2.99 for a year's subscription, it's a bargain and you help support the festival too.
This year, I have put the new works first, then I have grouped the older works into areas to make them easier to find when you're strolling around our beautiful Regency town.

There is a Stagecoach service bus from Cheltenham town centre to Winchcombe.

You would need a taxi back as the last bus leaves Winchcombe early.

Stanway Fete

This traditional fete is hosted by kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Wemyss and March in the grounds of their home, Stanway house.

It is held on the second Saturday in July, so a date for you for next year !

Parking is free, in one of the fields opposite and this year the entrance fee was just £2 per person.
Well behaved dogs are allowed as well.

The star of the fete is the chance to see the fountain twice in the afternoon.

Stanway House and Fountain
Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Stanway House is a stunning Jacobean manor famed for its 300-foot single-jet fountain, the highest in Britain and the tallest gravity-fed fountain in the world.

Explore the manor's intriguing furniture, the exquisite Gatehouse, a lovely church, and a historic 14th-century Tithe Barn. Stroll through the 18th-century water garden, marvel at the specimen trees, and soak in the charm of the surrounding villages, farms, and woodland.

The star of the show is the fountain, soaring to 300 feet 10¼ inches, inaugurated on June 5, 2004. Designed by landscape architect Paul Edwards and engineered by David Bracey, it’s taller than the fountains at Witley Court and La Granja de San Ildefonso, and the second tallest in Europe after Lake Geneva’s turbine-driven wonder.

In 2022, the fountain got even cooler with an annular nozzle, making the water shoot out in a ring, adding more height and elegance. Powered by a 100,000-gallon reservoir 580 feet above the Canal, it uses a 12-inch diameter pipe stretching 1½ miles.

Stanway House and Fountain: where history, beauty, and engineering magic come together!

Our new map and audio guide for the 2024 festival is now available! Link in bio!

We have made the decision to make the map a yearly subscription. As a free festival, financing the works is always a struggle, and paying one fee to have a lifetime subscription meant we would never receive any fee from returning visitors.

We have listened to your feedback, though, and now the map has different coloured pins for all the new work. It is also all listed first to make it easier to find. The older works are all now grouped in areas to make it easier for visitors to find the nearby works on the map too.

If you have bought the map this month, you will have access to the new map, and we have kept the price the same as last year.

We have also chosen not to produce any handouts to keep costs down and make the festival paper-free. For those not wishing to buy the map, or without phone technology, we shall publish a list of all the artists and their spots. I'm sorry that you won't be able to listen to my descent into madness putting this together, but you should be able to find the works!

Huge thanks to all our supporters for their donations to make the Peoples Paint Festival happen again this year and I look forward to seeing you over the course of the next couple of weeks.

Big love, the festival team x
