Imagine waking up from a restful night’s sleep in this gorgeous four poster bed and sipping a cup of tea under the covers while admiring the wonderful views that Stonewell Cottage has to offer.

📌 Your Cotswolds Itinerary 📌⁠

📍Blockley, Gloucestershire

Blockley is one of the region’s lesser-known villages but has plenty to offer. It has a wonderful Norman church, an array of golden stone buildings - many dating back to the medieval period - and a charming brook.⁠

The North Cotswold village was heavily influenced by the silk industry in the 18th and 19th century and several of the buildings were built for the mill workers. In The Square you can see lots of bay windows in properties which would have been shops in the village’s silk days.

If you are a Father Brown fan, you may recognise the church and the vicarage, which are two of the main locations in the TV series.

The Horse and Hound in Broadway has been a mainstay at the top of the town’s high street since the 16th century.

The pub combines its traditional features with a modern menu and an extensive drinks list and is frequented by locals and tourists alike.

The Horse and Hound serves hearty pub grub – its pies and Sunday roasts are particularly sought after – along with a range of draught lagers, craft beers, cider, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.

⁠The Greyhound is a traditional country pub in Siddington just outside Cirencester.

The pub is full of character with large log fires, several dining spaces and a cosy atmosphere. There is a covered and heated outside seating area which makes eating or drinking Al fresco possible whatever the weather as well as a garden for those summer months.

The menu boasts pub classics which feature ingredients that have mostly been obtained locally. They also serve a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.

The Cat and Custard Pot Inn is a delightful English pub which has two restaurants - one inside the pub and one in its charming Italian chalet in the garden.

Whether you want traditional pub food or something with an Italian twist, the Cat and Custard Pot has it all. Both menus use fresh local produce and change seasonally. There is a great selection of local beers too.

The pub restaurant is open daily but the chalet is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The chalet also hosts live music and serves cocktails each Sunday evening.

With the Cheltenham Festival approaching, we wanted to give you some information about the town of Cheltenham.

Cheltenham is a charming town famous for its wonderful regency architecture, public schools and of course, its horse racing.

There is plenty to see and do whether you want to attend one of its many festivals (the town runs separate jazz, music, science and literature festivals during the year), explore its vast open spaces like Cleeve Common or Leckhampton Hill or just potter around its independent shops and eateries.
