"Every month we have a catch-up on products to ensure we're always providing the most current information to our wonderful clients. Marco, our rock star (literally—he plays drums in a Costa Rica band), recently returned from the Osa Peninsula. He stayed at Nicuesa Lodge, where he was lucky enough to witness a pod of whales, including a calf! Marco also experienced the magic of bioluminescence in the water, a natural phenomenon where the ocean lights up during very dark nights due to high concentrations of light-emitting plankton. He told us all about it – and we get to call this work! 😊" Dawn, HA Costa Rica expert

The Carter family are just home from their big Pura Vida adventure through Costa Rica... 🇨🇷🌴🦥

We LOVE welcome home email replies like this! (And our Dawn was particularly chuffed that she got such a stellar review from the teenagers...👏)

"We had such a wonderful time in all the places we visited. It's such a beautiful country and everyone is really friendly. All our private transfer drivers were so lovely, taking time to stop and show us rivers and pineapple fields along the way. Please pass on our thanks to Victor, Philippe and Miguel who were brilliant. All our tour guides were amazing and we saw so many animals, flora and fauna. It was the trip of a lifetime.

Every lodge and hotel we stayed at was fabulous, from Pichira Lodge in Tortuguero to the Diria in Tamarindo. Locations were brilliant (the volcano view from our terrace at Casa Luna in La Fortuna was stunning). We loved the sunsets in Tamarindo too!

All the activities arranged were fantastic. The zip wire and white water rafting was exhilarating! We loved Ecotermales hot spring and saw spectacular views from hikes done both in Tortuguero and Arenal Volcano. We also went to La Fortuna waterfall which was breathtaking. We surfed and body boarded in Tamarindo, and ate and drank too much and my diet has now unfortunately started!!

Thank you for all your organising. You did a brilliant job (as my girls said, "Dawn slayed", which apparently means you did a great job!!!). We already have several families who are interested in visiting Costa Rica so your details will be passed on!! It was so helpful having someone plan a trip when you're uncertain of where to begin, where to visit and what to see and do.

We chatted holidays, spun our traditional 'Wheel of Seeds' all got involved with some virtual racing fun and – most importantly – raised valuable funds for our Charity of the Year, Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.

"Okay hear me out – but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about a custard doughnut I had in Arab Street in Singapore. Honestly, it was the best doughnut I have had in my life (and I have had a fair few!). They pipe the cold custard directly into the freshly baked, warm dough for every order and it’s changed my doughnut game forever. 🇵🇪 "Of course, no visit to Peru would be complete without a trip to the incredible Machu Picchu. Hopping on the train and taking in the views as it meandered through the lush mountains, sent my excitement into overdrive. I hiked the Inca Trail last time (beyond special if you’re up to it!), but the train journey was a real treat, with the views getting better around every corner.

I struck gold with my guide, Percy, he was brilliant. In his younger days he used to be a porter on the Inca Trail, so he was able to expertly navigate us to the quietest viewpoints away from the crowds and was full of stories and insider knowledge. It was so special soaking it all up away from the hustle and bustle. Words simply can’t capture the magic of Machu Picchu – I’ll let my photos do the talking here!

In short, it may be a top tourist highlight, but there are ways to experience this wonder that get you away from the madding crowds. Plus, if hiking isn’t for you, don’t be put off. The train ride is just as beautiful! Do reach out to chat to me more about it if Machu Picchu is on your bucket list. I’ll try my best to get you the legend that is Percy if I can!" At the end of November 2023, we left the UK and flew into Columbo, the capital city of Sri Lanka. We had no idea what to expect and we were looking for a place that we would never forget… and we got just that!…”

Last Friday, our Andy and Rachel represented Team HA at the Ltd Awards 2024.

And they came away pleased as punch. 😊

Not only did we scoop the 'Customer Excellence Award' (the one we really wanted as, of course, our customers' happiness is what it's all about 🎉), we were also 'Highly Commended' in the 'Team of the Year' category – a huge congratulations to CCPCharity for being awarded the top spot!

We were up against some big and brilliant names in business, so being recognised has made our month. A huge thank you to the C2S team for hosting such a fantastic evening.

From spending a night at a luxury camp in the Erg Chebbi to exploring the incredible Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most iconic destinations in the country, Stuart and Susan packed in a lot during their 10-day adventure around Morocco. 🇲🇦
