We are a luxury glamping site located at Lower Glyn Farm in the stunning Wye Valley in Monmouthshire, South Wales. Invisible to the outside world, our five Mongolian yurts stretch along the top of a beautiful, south-facing meadow alongside a trickling stream. Experience a luxury camping experience that offers nature on your doorstep but without the pain.

We have just received our accreditation (star rating) from Visit Wales for the Lake House and Hidden Valley Yurts. These have to be rated separately as they are totally different types of accommodation (the Lake House isn't classed as Glamping).

Glamping sites don't get a star rating but are ranked in a different way (slightly confusing I know but this is how they do it).

The Lake House achieved the highest 5 star ranking and Hidden Valley Yurts were given the highest Quality Assured Ranking (equivalent of 5 Stars).

So we are really pleased.

We are now coming to the end of the 2024 Glamping season. We will be closing down and packing everything away for the winter in the next couple of weeks. The Lake House is open all year round and still available for bookings.

August Summer School holidays are filling up with only a few weekend dates left in August (Yurt 1 for the 9th to 12th and yurts 2,3 & 4 for the 23rd to 26th). More availability and choice of yurts for midweeks but these are also going quickly.

We have just had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful site. The yurt was spacious and comfortable and the facilities were really good, fully equipped kitchen to share with one other yurt and it is great to have your own bathroom. Our kids (aged 13 and 11) loved it and the lift from the car park down to the yurts through the ford was the highlight of their week! Highly recommended and we hope to come back.

Peaceful surroundings
Such a lovely peaceful place to stay. We stayed in a 4 bed yurt which was very spacious. It had indoor fairy lights which was a lovely touch. They have everything you need, fully equipped outdoor kitchen and seating area. We had our own fridge, toilet and shower.
The owner was lovely, picked us and our luggage up in a buggy which the kids loved!
I would highly recommend and will also go back.

Are these miniature cows or has the meadow grown well?

Loving a good chin scratch. Some time I woonder if our cows think they are dogs... Neve approach cattle when out for a walk as oyu may get hurt and never try to touch, pat, scratch of hug them.

In a secluded valley, invisible to the outside world, lies Hidden Valley Yurts and Lake House at Lower Glyn Farm in Monmouthshire, South Wales. Our glamping site contains 5 Mongolian yurts (3 for up to 7 people and 2 for up to 5 people) stretched along our peaceful, south-facing valley and The Lake House is our new all year round luxury self-catering accommodation next to a lake separate from the glamping site.

Within easy reach of Monmouth, Tintern, Raglan, Usk, Chepstow and other notable spots along the picturesque Wye Valley in South Wales, Hidden Valley Yurts and Lake House is a well-located base for taking in the kind of sites that made the likes of Wordsworth and Turner produce masterpieces. A designated area of outstanding natural beauty, this corner of Wales has definitely been blessed by Mother Nature.
