Delighted to say that we will be open tomorrow, Saturday 25th.
The weather looks forecast glorious 😀

If you are staying with us over a weekend between 24 January and 09 February dont miss going to Wye Valley Sculpture Garden, Tintern ( at the Monmouth end of the Village more or less opposite Old Station) between 1 and 4 on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

They have their fabulous Snowdrop Open Days which make a glorious afternoon out. There are refreshments too !
Sorry no dogs this year but there is free parking so they can wait in your car. Full details on their website

We have only limited availability for February and March spring breaks left, so if you are looking to escape to the country for some fresh air, especially if you are looking for a weekend stay, dont delay as they are going fast!
You can find full details of each of the two cottages, up to date availability and prices on our own website ( no booking fees or hidden charges and heating, linen, towels included ). Each is individually located ( not a complex). each sleeps 6 and has an superking bedroom, monsoon shower, EV charger and a woodburner - but on many dates there are deals for smaller parties so we are often ideal for a couple looking for a little extra space and comfort. The whole "housekeeping and maintenance " team at Monmouthshire Cottages ( thats Fiona, Malcolm, Gill, Marie and Caroline) would like to wish all of our suppliers, tradesmen, guests and friends a really Happy Christmas and a safe and healthy New Year. Some of you are scattered round the globe, some are very local, but the warm wishes will find you and the pats will find the many dogs we have met, we hope!

A second hectic day this time cleaning and preparing for Tintern Abbey Cottage's Christmas guests coming this afternoon ( as well as setting off before 6 this morning to collect our own turkey and "all the trimmings" from shops which were already rammed that early). We are a genuine family business run by a husband and wife team.

Although we use computers we think its personal attention before your arrival that makes the difference to the quality of your stay.

We answer our own phones and e mails, you will receive your booking information from us personally, one of us tries to meet you as you arrive, we will have prepared the cottage for you ourselves and if you should be around when we are renovating you could well find us mixing cement,gardening, painting walls, up scaffolding , cleaning or sewing furnishings. We do have a well trusted team which helps us enormously but they are not instead of us. Your comfort is our pleasure and we love the fact that we have a very high level of repeat guests who appreciate our efforts.
