Chesham Connect have brought together so much community spirit running these annual free events. This followed their idea of Destination Chesham, and alongside the Chesham Society and Chesham and Villages Community Board subsequently brought about the initiative of the Visit Chesham / Visit Chesham and villages project. Visitchesham.org.uk is a non-profit, and non-political project to support local tourism and attract visitors.

Great article from Chesham Museum about this journey; from the era of stagecoaches in 1700s and onwards. Our railway station is the furthest from central London and 135 years old this year. 😎 🚂 🚊

Today trains to London are frequent but how did our ancestors fare when making that journey?

Once again … a one-off event in our creative, friendly town 🎻😎💜🎼This lunchtime subscribers to The Drawingroom music venue emailing list and ad hoc customers experienced a real treat in collaboration with Chesham-based Peter Fribbins, local composer. Internationally celebrated Serbian viola player Saša Mirković who plays with some of the world’s finest ensembles and orchestras, and well-known UK violinist Anna de Bruin, performed pieces by Mozart, Hoffmeister and Handel. Anna also played a special piece by Peter Fribbins. A really accessible, joyful upbeat event, presented in such a friendly way, and attended by ages approx 10 years to those in their 80s. Added to the mix you could even have your Sunday roast (pre-ordered) or choose from the wonderful tapas dishes.
