have hit the ground running in South Africa, taking three boys' rugby teams for the experience of a lifetime. They won 2/3 fixtures on their first game day! With a visit to the Cape Peninsula and watching the World Rugby U20 group decider between England and South Africa, it sounds like memories to last a lifetime are being made.

The Portugal Youth Rugby Festival in April has become a popular destination for school rugby teams all around the world.

Every year, over 100 international teams participate in the event, with players from as far away as New Zealand and Argentina attending. It's amazing to see the sport bringing people together from all corners of the globe!

Introducing Futbol Salou, Barcelona

After many successful football tours to Futbol Salou with 5-star feedback, we thought it was best to share some of the best parts of the facility.

Ideal for school groups, the high-level facilities in the Futbol Salou sports centre boast eleven 11-a-side football fields endorsed by UEFA and FIFA, including four natural grass fields and seven artificial turf fields.

In addition, there is one 7-a-side football field, one rugby field, two beach football fields, and a mini stadium with a capacity for 1,000 people, among other services.

Favourite tour destinations- Costa del Sol & Gibraltar
The Costa del Sol, a destination known for its accessibility, is just a short flight from the UK. Upon arrival at Malaga airport, you're just a quick transfer away from many fantastic resorts. And the best part? The iconic Gibraltar is just a stone's throw away, adding a unique touch to your travel experience.

Having spent 6 months working in Costa del Sol, I can vouch for the warm Spanish hospitality that greets you at every turn. The local cuisine, with its exciting flavours, is a culinary adventure. And the sun, a constant companion from April to November, adds a golden touch to your stay.

The sport in Spain is super competitive, and the locals enjoy coming up against British opposition. Gibraltar adds a further dimension of sports that are not widely played in Spain, so having the option to combine the two destinations makes a tour here an exciting prospect.

The excursion program is so diverse that it can meet almost every brief. Seeing Dolphins and barbary apes in Gibraltar is a personal favourite of mine.

Bucket list destination -
South Africa - Cape Town
After organising tours to South Africa and in particular Cape Town, it has become a destination that has piqued my interest; my trip would be jam-packed with Table Mountain one day, meeting penguins on the beach the next, spending the following day ziplining amongst waterfalls in the nature reserves, and finishing up with cultural experiences, boat trips, a vineyard tour and if possible a sporting event. I'd have to go in October for my birthday because the weather will be great, and it's whale spotting season.

Sport-
I'm a football fan and still play (for fun). I enjoy spectator sports, including Boxing, Tennis, Darts and Snooker (my dog is named after Ronnie O'Sullivan)

After spending their Easter break in Futbol Salou, Wath Academy's football teams have returned with memories to last a lifetime. The teams had an opportunity to showcase their skills and compete in some great games. The weather was perfect for their games and the teams were able to enjoy the warm sunshine on the beach with some reccovery time.

When visiting Obertauern, the Landhotel Postgut is the perfect base for school groups with views of the snow-covered mountains of Tweng. All bedrooms have private facilities and are arranged to sleep four or three people per room comfortably. Meet Tour Consultant Stu!

2024 will be Stu's sixth year with GB Sports Tours. He joined the team after 25 years in the education sector. During that time, he has been fortunate to experience 21 different countries, some multiple times, on various sports tours and other educational trips.

Favourite touring destination:
Africa has everything you would want: opposition to meet all abilities, great excursions and activities, fundamental cultural differences and fantastic people. For me, it takes a lot to top a safari. As well as South Africa, I have been fortunate to visit Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

Bucket list travel destination:
I have always wanted to visit Japan. My son is there studying, rubbing it in and sending amazing photographs non-stop. The skiing there looks great, too. India has to be on the list.

Favourite skiing destination:
Austria - Like many trips, ski holidays are made just as much by the slopes as by the people you ski with. Had great times on some scary slopes and cruised plenty of blues with my kids teaching them. I am really pleased we can now offer destinations in Austria; they know how to do ski well.

Hobbies and Interests:
Stu's passions outside of work are diverse: He loves spending time outdoors, whether walking and training his dog Indy, gardening and growing vegetables, or indulging in his unique hobby of collecting, chopping, and stacking wood. Additionally, he finds joy in culinary activities, particularly cooking on his Kamado BBQ and fire.
