In a prime position on the northeast coast of the island, this is a calm and spacious luxury villa in Corfu; peaceful, private, and with sublime sea views from its exceptional swimming pool and a path down to the beach and the jetty.

Today marks the beginning of one the most impressive spectacles on Earth, the Kandy Festival of Perahera.

The city of Kandy shimmers and glows as this iconic pageant claims the streets for the ten-day procession, as thousands come together to celebrate the sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, a priceless artefact paraded through the city. A belief once grew that whoever possessed the tooth relic had a divine right to rule that land.

This ancient tradition has grown immensely since its more humble beginnings and is now a heady mix of culture, tradition and spirituality for any traveller.
