Announcement!

We're thrilled to announce that we have taken over the spaces both above and below our current site here at Prohibition! Fear not though, Prohibition will be staying exactly how it is; continuing to serve up delicious house cocktails in our wonderfully private and relaxing drinking den 7 days a week.

So what's happening?

The project is called Parmar House and will be split into two phases.

Downstairs will be our new bar, here we will serve amazing wines and other speciality drinks from around the world. There'll be something for everyone, whether it's a glass of one of our quirky wines, a carafe of one of our more traditional wines or a bottle from our extensive list. We'll also be serving delicious cold beers and, of course, carefully crafted classic cocktails. We aim to create a space that is welcoming and comfortable with a splash of decadence.

Upstairs will be transformed into a Boutique Hotel where you'll find 5 individually designed suites. We have endeavoured to preserve the heritage of the building in each of these suites to reflect Chester's remarkable architecture. Here, guests will be able to relax and enjoy a stay in our beautifully curated hotel.

We are very excited to announce that the first phase of Parmar House, our new bar, will be opening in November 2023. The hotel phase of Parmar House is due to open it's doors in Spring 2024.

We'd like to say a massive thank you to our hard working team that make it happen day in day out and most importantly to you, our loyal guests, who've been with us every step of the way for the past 9 years.
