With all the flair and peacocking of Pitti I chose to celebrate classic with this flannel in a mid/dark grey, cut and made by hand in our Watergate Street Chester workrooms.

Cut from Glenn hunt tweed, a garment fit for purpose with fully waterproof interfacings, gusseted cartridge pockets and action back, the new owner can look forward to many years of use in the field.

One of the highlights of our resent trip to was the opportunity to get some shots done by the fantastic showcasing some items I had made for the trip, notably a beautiful wool / cashmere overcoat and a classic double breasted flannel suit, detailed with a knitted wool and silk tie and vintage silk pocket handkerchiefs.

At this time of year we look forward to receiving the images of summer weddings that we have had the pleasure of dressing. This particular clients wedding took place on the picturesque Amalfi coast, he opted for an ivory double breasted tuxedo detailed with a cream dress shirt and silver mounted amber buttons, creating something truly unique for his wedding day.

The festive party season will soon be upon us and your tired well worn dinner jacket that has seen many a soirée may have had it’s time…?
Now is the time to consider its replacement and over the coming weeks we will show you some options, first up and a personal favourite, the classic double breasted…. Cut here in black pure wool with corded black silk facings for a subtle contrast, this is the epitome of elegance, this is not 007 but a nod to the 1930’s/40’s think Fred Astaire and should be cut a little more generous in the coat and trouser.

It's at this time of year that Crichton House comes in to its own as a venue for hosting clients and friends alike.
