Taking place at 7pm from The Pig & Pump on Saturday, 28th and Sunday, 29th December - long range forecast says, "NO RAIN".

This is a walking tour of just over one hour and less than a mile, containing a dozen little known ghost stories, with details we've never told before. Great value at £8 per person.

😱👻 WHY DO WE ASSOCIATE CHRISTMAS WITH GHOST STORIES? 👻😱

Looking back into antiquity, the arrival of the winter solstice and the longest night meant that we were all more likely to see a ghost during the extended darkness. This situation was exploited by more recent writers like Dickens and M R James, who created the ghosts that visited Scrooge and the creatures that lived in The Ash Tree.

We intend to continue the tradition by telling you a dozen stories concerning local people and places in Chesterfield’s town centre on Saturday, the 28th and Sunday, the 29th of December.

You can join us for this 90 minute walking tour for just £8 per person, starting at 7pm, inside the Pig & Pump.

🍻🎥 BAKEWELL PUB TOUR IN VIDEO 🎥🍻

The Great British Pub Crawl came to Bakewell on Saturday the 30th of November. Dale and Holly kindly invited Trevor Power and myself to join them. They inadvertently took the scenic route at first but everyone had a great evening. the video is linked below and I would encourage you to follow the GBPC channel for some excellent on-site pub research and recommendations.

We head back from Liverpool for a quick stop off and the 10 pubs of Bakewell in North Derbyshire! A sweet and quaint little town steeped in history!

🥴🥂 THE GREAT BRITISH PUB CRAWL IN BAKEWELL 🥂🥴

Dale and Holly are going to be stopping in Bakewell today, Saturday 30 November 2024, on their way home from their two day exploration of Liverpool.

We have been invited along to provide a few anecdotes and history of the 8 lovely pubs on the Bakewell Great Historic Pub Tour. We will be sharing their video tomorrow, I'm sure it will be entertaining as usual.

Having been a tremendous success this year, we are planning to offer our Bakewell pub tour twice a month from April to September in 2025, dates to be announced soon.

Tickets for our Christmas Ghost Hunt, a walking tour of haunted places in Chesterfield's town centre, are now available from The Pig & Pump - just £8.

Choose either Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th December, both tours starting at 7pm. A spooky walk of less than a mile will take us around 90 minutes to complete, a dozen ghostly tales to tell you, and ending at Santa's favorite pub, The Rutland.

This is a completely different tour to our very successful Halloween events with many true stories we've never told before.

🎁🎄 HOW TO BOOK EARLY FOR OUR CHRISTMAS GHOST HUNT 🎄🎁

For the first time, we are running our Christmas Ghost Hunt on two evenings - Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of December.

As before, this is a 90 minute walking tour of Chesterfield with about a dozen ghost stories, each one delivered from where the terrifying events took place.

Starting at 7pm from the Pig & Pump and finishing at the Rutland, a haunted pub with a warm welcome. This is a completely different Tour to our Halloween events with a number of stories that we've never told anyone.

At just £8 per person, it's great value, so if you're stuck for something to get that certain someone, then our Christmas Ghost Hunt could be just the ticket.

You will soon be able to purchase tickets from the Pig & Pump, but for now the only way to get them is to send us a message to reserve places and arrange payment. You can also text 07908 183 160 if you don't use Facebook messenger.

Wrap up warm, our stories will send a chill down your spine!

Not suitable for small children and teenagers must be accompanied.

🧙‍♀️🧹 SUCCESSFUL GHOST HUNTING 🧹🧙‍♀️

A record number of Chesterfield townsfolk helped us hunt down some despicable ghosts over the weekend.

Martin and Shaun are delighted that you all had a great time. Some history, some horror and a few shocking surprises, the tour ticked all the right boxes.

No rest for the wicked as we are planning another completely different Christmas Ghost Hunt, keep your eye on our page for more information.

With just one week until our first Ghost Hunt of 2024, we have almost everything ready.
All the stories have been researched, scripted and rehearsed. Our team is bigger than ever and shaking with nervous anticipation to bring some brand new stories to life. We are trying some new and shocking street theatre to make our events bigger and better than ever.

🎥☠️ POPULAR GHOST STORIES ☠️🎥

Every year, we bring you a whole host of brand new ghost stories but there are just a few favourites that people expect us to bring to life once again.

This year is no different as we do have some classic ghost stories for you. This includes the horrific murder of George Collis, the butcher who died in 1845, but his grim fate was not uncovered for 18 months.

🎬👻 HEADS UP GHOST HUNTERS 👻🎬

Here's Shaun with another sneak peek at one of our haunted locations on this year's Ghost Hunt.

Remember that 12 of the 15 stories we have for you this year have never been told by us before. Some of them are quite modern but others date back to the early 1800s and do not appear in any of the local ghost story books. Some are based on contemporary newspaper reports of the day and others are down to interviews with the poor souls who witnessed them happening

The Chesterfield Ghost Hunt is coming and here's some things you need to know.

👻 Accompanied teenagers are welcome but smaller children may become too scared to continue.

🐾 Friendly dogs are welcome.

👩‍🦼 The walking tour lasts 90 minutes and is largely flat. Suitable for wheelchair users and electric mobility scooters.

🍻 Although we start and finish at a pub, we do not stop at any on the way.

Tickets are available from The Pig & Pump and The Rutland. The Ghost Hunt costs £8 per person starts at 7pm, on the 25th, 26th and 27th of October from The Pig & Pump on St Mary's Gate. Please arrive on time, we can't come back for you.
