Less than a 30-minute drive from our properties in Chichester, Uppark House and Garden (National Trust) is magical at Christmas time. 🎄✨

Get a feel for how the historic family would have celebrated upstairs and what fun the servants had downstairs!

You can experience the mansion house transformed with twinkling lights and festive delights until 31st December.

When you stay with us during the festive season, make sure you book a visit. Open Thursday to Sunday, 10am - 4pm, with last entry to the house at 3pm. Last entry to the site and last orders at the café are 3.30pm. The car park closes at 4.15pm.

Christmas at Uppark... It's not just upstairs but downstairs too. Imagine what life may have been like for the servants in this 17th century Palladian style manor. We like to think they would have served the feast upstairs and then had a jolly old time in the cosy rooms below stairs.

Sir Harry Fetherstonhaugh liked his servants so much he married one of them! A story fit for a period drama... Imagine Downton Abbey with wilder parties 💃

On Friday night (8th December) there will be a Christmas comedy bonanza with live DJ after party, at Oakland’s Pavilion, Oaklands Park, Wellington Road, Chichester. 😂

Starting the night with a free glass of Prosecco on arrival, you will be welcomed personally by host and organiser Naomi and directed to take your place for the evening of hilarious comedy acts. There will be three amazing comedy acts.

The comedy is set to finish at 10pm where there will be live DJ music until midnight. Grab your tickets before they sell out!

🎄 What’s going on at The Kennels, Goodwood, this Christmas?

Well, this weekend, 2nd and 3rd December, you can soak up the festive atmosphere at The Kennels Christmas Market!
Open from 10am - 4pm each day, parking is at Goodwood Racecourse. A complimentary shuttle bus will also run throughout the day.

There will be 30 hand-picked independent makers, selling a range of artisanal products, festive gifts and delicious food. Food & beverage will be available throughout the weekend

Then, what better way to let your hair down than at The Kennels Après Ski Christmas party nights!

Taking place across Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 December 2023, Après Ski is the Ultimate Outdoor Christmas Party. ⛷

There are two wonderful Christmas markets happening in Chichester town centre for you to enjoy.

On Saturday 2nd December, from 10am until late, there is Draper's Yard Christmas Makers market. There will be makers, artists, mulled wine and Christmas cocktails, warming coffees and hot chocolates. Buy beautiful handmade gifts for friends and family.

Then on Sunday 3rd December, Edes House is holding an Open House and mini market between 11am and 3pm. See the house decorated for Christmas and do some Christmas shopping!
