I cannot tell you how good these are! Pizza night at The Crown is just great. They run every fortnight. Seated outside under a fairy lit canopy with a toasty fire to keep you warm and your pizza cooked right in front of you in the purpose built pizza oven. Only a five minute drive from us. If you didn’t want to sit in; then take out 🍕 😋

Harvest Time 🌾 - is located on our family farm. At this time of year after we have harvested the crops we then have to prepare the ground for the next year. In these pictures the soil has already been prepared ready for drilling (putting the seed in the ground), the drill cuts through the soil and the seed drops in behind the little channels that are created. After drilling, the ground is then rolled to increase the seeds germination potential by making sure there are fewer air pockets and that more of the seeds surface area is in contact with the soil so the seeds have a better chance of growing. We grow a variety of crops barley, wheat, oil seed r**e and even peas and beans which are great for our cattle!

If you’re looking to go a bit further a field for a day out Hereford is well worth a visit right off the A49. It’s a beautiful city with a magnificent Cathedral and lots of lovely shops. We stopped off on the way with the kiddies. They serve the most delicious lunches and a scrummy cakes. The kids can feed the fish 🐠 and the water gardens are beautiful for a walk around, buggy friendly. Perfect for all ages x

The Millenium Green and really is a great place to visit from The kids can paddle in the shallow river, lots of lovely takeaway food available or book ahead and eat in with lovely river views. There is a great play park nearby at The Linney. Also lovely walks along the river via The Breadwalk, this brings you back into Ludlow where you can then have a drink and then loop back to where you started by heading back through the town.

The Conkers are growing here perfect for picking with little fingers. The private drive is also a fab place to learn to scoot or ride your bike

A fabulous walk around the lovely market town of Ludlow full of fab independent shops. Only a short drive from The Bread Walk boasts some lovely river side and castle views. Stop for a bite to eat whilst watching the ducks swim , a wonderful place, especially in the summer when the kids can paddle in the river, it’s ideally located with a great play park next door.

The freshest and tastiest milk out there, literally straight from the cow ! Only a short drive from you can fill/re-fill straight from the vending machine on site at the farm or purchase a fresh bottle if you don’t have one to fill up. The vending machine is also full of lots of other lovely local goodies! Great fun for adults and kids

Acton Scott Museum, the perfect family day out. Meet and pat the animals, see the old machinery working, watch butter being made, get some delicious food from the onsite cafe at this historic working farm. We attended the apple day today. Only 10 minutes from Conkers Cottage!
