Ludlow is just a short drive / train journey from the house and is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon whilst staying at A House in the Hills - Church Stretton

Filled with historic buildings, speciality shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants you could also visit the castle, swim in the river or grab a bargain at the artisan market held every Saturday.

We opted for a leisurely walk by the river with a glass of Ludlow Distillery gin on the gorgeous riverside terrace at The Charlton Arms x
