John Kyrle High School - Services Update - 13:37 - 09/12/2024 As I'm sure you'll be aware, the levels of the River Wye have risen overnight, resulting in the flooding of Lower Lydbrook and Bishopswood. Therefore, this will result in some services having to divert this afternoon. -- JKH18: Bream/Coleford/Lydbrook Issue/s: Road Closed - Flooding of Stowfield Road/Bishopswood Affected Stops: Lydbrook, Forge Hammer Students will be dropped off at Judvia Contract Services/Lydwood, where the bus will turn around to continue the normal route (taking into account the diversions around the B4234 road closure). Diversion: The coach will divert via Drybrook, Ruardean, Joy's Green to reach Lydbrook. Please expect students to arrive home later than usual. -- JKH19: Cinderford/Drybrook/Mitcheldean Issue/s: Road Closed - No Known Issues JKH19 is expected to operate as normal. -- JKH25: Cinderford/Parkend/Joy's Green/Ruardean Issue/s: Road Closed - Flooding of Stowfield Road/Bishopswood This route is largely unaffected this afternoon, however, the coach will make its way to Ruardean via Drybrook, rather than Cat's Hill. From Lydbrook, Central Stores JKH18 will follow the diversion around the Upper Lydbrook closure, as communicated on 25/11/2024. -- JKH19: Cinderford/Drybrook/Mitcheldean Issue/s: Road Closed - No Known Issues JKH19 is expected to operate as normal. -- JKH25: Cinderford/Parkend/Joy's Green/Ruardean Issue/s: No known issues The B4234 from Kerne Bridge to Lydbrook is now passable, therefore, JKH25 will follow its normal route back to Lydbrook. John Kyrle High School - Services Update - 14:33 - 25/11/2024 JKH18: Bream/Coleford/Lydbrook Issue/s: Road Closed - B4234, Upper Lydbrook + Potential Flooding of Stowfield Road/Bishopswood After inspecting Stowfield Road/Bishopswood we have decided that we will use this route this afternoon. Although the river level is high and standing water is present, the road is passable. Hopefully this will help the bus stay to its normal timings as much as possible. B4234, Upper Lydbrook is likely to remain closed for some time, therefore, we will divert using Hangerberry, New Road. Likewise to this morning, we will not be serving Lydbrook, Jovial Colliers Inn. We will monitor the situation and update accordingly if needed.

John Kyrle High School - Diversion Information - Commencing: 26/11/2024 JKH25 - John Kyrle High School - Cinderford/Parkend/Joy’s Green/Ruardean Closure of B4234 from 24/11/2024 until further notice will result in a diversion affecting the AM and PM school run. Diversion Route: At Mireystock Crossroads, turn left onto A4136, turning right at Hangerberry New Road. Turn around in the village, head south-east, eventually turning left into Church Road, opposite The Colliers Inn to continue the normal route. The same diversion, in reverse, will be followed in the afternoons. **THIS DIVERSION IS PLANNED ON THE BASIS THAT THE ROAD WILL BE OPENED AT THE JUNCTION WITH CHURCH ROAD, BY JOVIAL COLLIERS. IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE WE WILL POST A FURTHER UPDATE.** Affected Stops: No stops should be affected, however, the bus may arrive later at stops: Joy’s Green, Forge Hill Turn and Ruardean, The Square.
