18th April 2021, Fantastic house. Super comfy, really clean, kitchen well kitted out. Great hot tub and views of the lake. Really easy booking and getting keys process. An unusual boat spotted on the lake today, turns out this is neighbour Dean in training for a trans Atlantic team row in aid of charity Elijah’s Star. A great effort for a great cause, good luck Dean !

A cold and snowy afternoon for the RSPB birdwatch, but here are the results:
1 Grey Heron (our lodge namesake)
1 Robin
1 Magpie
2 Great Crested Grebes
3 Coots
3 Moorhens
4 Mallard ducks
20 Common gulls
24 Canada geese

No sign of the Cormorants, swans or tufted ducks during the hour though !
