In the space of seven weeks our family of six goslings have gone from cute and fluffy, to teenage geese with attitude. It’s been a pleasure watching them grow.

Friday is always our busiest day.
From saying goodbye to our midweek guests, to making sure our lodges and site are ready to welcome guests arriving for the weekend.
But what a setting to be busy in!

All 6 doing well. Definitely starting to look like geese now with their legs lengthen and their little wings starting to grow. Mum and Dad are doing an amazing job protecting and looking after them.

At The Willows you can often hear the hammering of woodpeckers in the nearby trees and see them flying across the lake … this chap is a frequent visitor to our bird table. What a magnificent chap he is.

The King’s Coronation Weekend is getting closer. Each of our lodges has a smart tv if you want to watch the ceremony and televised programmes, and there are lots of local events being arranged, such as the Cirencester Big Lunch in the Park.
…. Of course should you prefer we are a great location just to switch off and escape.

We receive such lovely feedback from guests about our lodges and location … and quite a few add “we even saw a kingfisher’!
Our resident kingfisher is often seen skimming the lake … a beautiful flash of turquoise.

SPRING AVAILABILITY.
With the weather improving and a number of Bank Holidays on the horizon our weekend availability during April/May is gradually decreasing. Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

If your time is flexible why not consider a midweek getaway and take advantage of our lower midweek prices. Prices from £125 per night. Minimum midweek stay 2 nights.

Spring is a beautiful time both at The Willows and in The Cotswolds.

It maybe raining, it maybe pouring …. but inside our warm cosy lodges, it really doesn’t matter! A perfect time to chill … watch the waves on the lake, read a book, play one of our board games or watch a favourite movie. Happy Friday 💙☔️💧🌧🌂💙

Our normally tranquil lake became filled with the noisy honking of Canadian Geese earlier today. We counted more than 40 at one point!
