Buttermere, beautiful in any weather, even heavy downpours! I’ve never seen the water so high and was impassable in certain places. It was Marni’s favourite place, a good place for a reset 🥰

I love feeding the birds in the garden and we get many varieties here in Cumbria, but the downside is a lawn growing of its own accord under the feeder! Couple of hours to w**d the garden today before the torrential rain and wind set in! Sorry birds, I will have to relocate your feeder 🦅 🌱

At last the renovations at Marni’s Cottage are finished after the flood. Putting the final touches to get it back to where it was, only better 😊 to blow the cobwebs away, a long brisk walk along Seascale beach and a visit to Ennerdale Water to reset the soul 💕 looking forward to welcoming new and returning guests 🥰

After a devastating flood just before Christmas, Marni’s Cottage has had a revamp, all new flooring, skirting and furniture. It’s looking great and nearly ready to welcome our future guests. As cosy and comfy as always, a true home away from home. Thankfully due to some amazing people here it’s coming together quickly! 💞
