Namibia is always a popular trip at Sense Earth. Our recent one was very memorable - climbing Dune 45 in Sossusvlei, going on a catamaran in Walvis Bay, driving across Etosha and seeing cheetah, hyena, black rhino and lion and ending with white rhino tracking in Otjiwa.

It is with a heavy heart that we all say good bye to Lasalette Duarte, who passed away yesterday. I have known and worked with her in Eswatini for over 12 years and she became a really good friend, someone I loved enormously. Her heart was huge. Many of you who travelled with me to Eswatini would have met this kind, caring, driven and inspiring lady. Amongst many things she achieved, Lasalette built and managed 9 care points for over 2,000 AIDS orphaned or vulnerable children. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family. Rest in peace.

The Seal of Approval! A visit to Cape Cross Seal Colony is certainly worth a visit - but not too long as the stench can be a bit over whelming! Although after a while you sort of get used to it.

A small flight over Swakopmund coastline to see wrecks, desolate coastline and never ending sand dunes (that look a bit like whipped ice cream) is something to remember.

Love Namibia, the wide open spaces, the scenery; it is mesmerising. The recent rains have made it extra special - the greenery and the flowers, it is astounding. Etosha pan had either grass covering it, or water on it with pelicans serenely gliding past. A once in a decade spectacle!

Cheers! We are off on our Namibia 2025 trip. there has been so much rain here that it has changed the scenery beyond recognition. The Kalahari is a sea of green grass and vibrant yellow flowers from Devils Thorn, it is extraordinary. Not been like this for 10 years, the flower seeds have been patient!
