Last Friday Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Amanda Parker JP and Deputy Lieutenant Robert Parker hosted four of Lancashire’s World War II and D-Day Veterans for a tour of Browsholme and tea 🫖

The previous owner of Browsholme Colonel ‘Reggie’ Parker DSO was a topic of conversation as he assumed command of the 12th Parachute Battalion at D-Day when the Commander was killed, leading the charge into battle and was subsequently awarded a DSO for gallentry.

Pictured from left to right in the Regency Drawing Room are: Bill Mould (RAF, 100 years old), Richard Brock (Army, 100 years old), Ken Benbow (Royal Navy, 98 years old) and Stewart Taylor (RAF, 101 years old).
