Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives

Another island and another resort island paradise. Completely understated relaxed rustic luxury at Gili lankanfushi. A barefoot luxury Robinson Crusoe island and somewhere very special 🏝️🌊🐚❤️

The relaxed ‘no news no shoes’ vibe as soon as you step foot on the speedboat to take you to Gili is quite invigorating and I’m really not sure how I will go back to wearing shoes!

To us this is understated, relaxed high end luxury at its peak!

An all water villa resort combining villa suites, Gili lagoon villas, residences attached to the jetty with Crusoe Residences which stand alone in the middle of the ocean something quite unique in the Maldives! A private boat to take you to the island and back whenever you please!

Their butlers (Mr/Ms Friday) are really there to make your stay as easy and relaxed as possible. They are there for whatever you need while in resort with a private line to them from the villa as well as their WhatsApp. To make dining reservations, excursions, watersports, in villa dining anything you require.

The food at Gili has been incredible and struggle to pick a favourite restaurant! By the Sea their Japanese was definitely a very special experience as well as the Asian street market in koshiveli!

The epitome of wellness, well-being as well as pure understated luxury. Focusing on the 4 pillars mind, skin microbiotme and energy the resort revolves around these in all aspects including the spa Akrea, the fitness centre Core and of course in its restaurants and bars.

The resort is centred for both couples, singles and families who are looking for an extraordinary experience like no other in the Maldives. The first of its kind in this destination it is definitely a welcome edition. The Spa and fitness centres are the most impressive I’ve experienced in the Maldives offering many treatments, facilities and classes all embracing the 4 pillars.

They also offer lifestyle assessments, wellness consultations, nutritional consultations, Chinese medicine and many more (something I personally experienced!)

There are no set programmes that have to followed however these can be arranged such as 5,7 or 10 day wellness programmes. You can simply just enjoy the resort for what it is and relax.

They do also serve alcohol if anyone is wondering! But not pushed upon clients or advertised as such as they trying to promote wellness and wellbeing! So lots of sparkling tea as well as hundreds of different blends of tea they offer! Again which focus on one or more of the different mind pillars.

We also got to experience something which I believe is quite different especially in the Maldives - perfume making! We got to make our own perfume in Aktar their herb/tea area with essential oils. This was something really special and we’ve even got to bring it home. So definitely got a piece of Joali being with us ❤️

We can’t forget to mention the food , everything we have experienced has been mouth watering. Being a wellness resort we weren’t sure what to expect in terms of the food and if everything would be ‘healthy’ as we are foodies! How wrong could we be! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort on the food alone. Lots of choice and variety on the menus but focusing on healthier options or ingredients.

We’ve been blown away with the resort. Thank you JOALI BEING for having us and letting us experience your beautiful island 🏝️🐚🌊

Our incredible stay at Mykonos Riviera one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

This is one of our favourite properties in Mykonos close to Mykonos town. They also offer a complimentary shuttle into the town in the evening.

The rooms, suites and villas are stunning with a modern vibe and amazing views over the old port of Mykonos.

They also offer a gym and Spa which is a great welcome addition for this small property!

The breakfast is to die for! And one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever experienced with beautiful views.

The most important and stand out feature of this property is the staff and the service. The service is second to none and they really can’t do enough for you! The staff go above and beyond for all their guests.
