Welcome to November! Lots of lovely events coming up this month, including late night shopping events such as the Spirit of Christmas in Cockermouth! 💛🎄

Love Christmas shopping? Well there isn't too long to wait, as our popular Spirit of Christmas event takes place on Thursday 21 and Thursday 28 November, all around Cockermouth Town. ✨️

Shop doorways will be lit by candles, the Christmas window displays will be sparkling, festive music playing on the streets, and there will be loads of tasty food and drink on offer at our pubs, cafes and restaurants. "Love your local high street this Christmas."

There’s also free parking in the Cumberland Council car parks (apart from Sainsburys) from 4pm on both evenings. Keep an eye on our Cockermouth Town socials as we bring you more details and festive cheer! 🎄

What's on in November?🍂

🔥Bonfire Night (5th Nov): Firework displays and bonfire celebrations take place across the Lake District, offering a vibrant night in many towns and villages!

🌠Cumbria Dark Skies Festival (25th Oct - 24th Nov): Ongoing throughout November, this festival highlights the beauty of the night sky with night-time canoeing on Coniston Water, starlit swims in Ullswater, bushcraft cooking, and more!​

⛰️ Kendal Mountain Festival (21st - 24th Nov): This huge outdoor adventure event features over 200 live sessions, 300+ speakers, and 180+ films, attracting tens of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, a popular event in the heart of the Lake District.

🧑‍🌾 Ulverston's Dickensian Christmas Festival (23rd - 24th Nov): Step into a magical Dickensian world with costume parades, street performances, brass bands, and festive stalls.

🍻 Cockermouth Round Table Beer Festival (28th - 30th Nov): Enjoy 70+ beers and ciders, live music, and entertainment at this charity beer festival, with proceeds going to local good causes.
