What do we offer?
EVENING CLASSES:
Evening classes aim to keep children active and improve their flexibility. Coming to evening classes allows children to meet children from other schools with similar interests to them.
AVAILABILITY:
Thursday evenings at Clacton Studio Gym
BREAKFAST CLUBS:
What better way to start the day than to dance the early morning away getting our bodies and brains ready for fun packed lessons.
Breakfast clubs consist of brain games followed by a gentle warm up and light dance routines all of which will allow the pupils to prepare their bodies and minds for the school day ahead.
LUNCH TIME CLUBS:
From playing music in the school playground and getting the children dancing through their lunch times to having a pre-planned dance class, it’s your choice. Our main aim is to keep children active and give them the opportunity to participate in organised activities whilst having fun with their friends and improving their fitness levels.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS:
Try extending the school day by adding a fun and energetic after school club. We will take a register when the children arrive and will stay until the last child is picked up and signed out by their parent/guardian.
After school clubs aim to engage children in a specific dance genre and will help them to learn and practise choreographing their own dances, learn new skills and perform as a group.
Genres available: Street Dance, Contemporary, Ballet, Drama, Musical Theatre, Cheerleading.
CURRICULUM LESSONS:
We provide structured lesson plans with specific learning objectives linked with the core curriculum of Maths, English and Science. Whether your pupils are studying numbers, colours, countries or more we are able to incorporate this to create fun yet educational sessions during school hours.
ONE DAY WORKSHOPS:
Want your pupils to learn something new? Why not try a whole day of dance? From the Haka to Rock and Roll, we can offer a one off full day of educational dance. The children will learn, create and perform in all our enrichment days.
Topics available: Haka, African Gumboot, Street Dance, Cheerleading, Rock and Roll, Salsa, Kathak, Bollywood.
HOLIDAY CAMPS:
Holiday camps aim to inspire children to spend their holidays being active and making memories. We offer fun filled days packed with dance, games, supervised free time and arts and crafts. The children arrive in the morning with their lunch boxes and spend an hour playing games and getting to know each other. The remainder of the morning is spent learning a routine before enjoying some free time with their new friends to relax and have lunch. The afternoon consists of arts and crafts (allowing time for lunches to settle) before finishing and rehearsing the routine ready to perform to family and friends at the end of the day.
AVAILABILITY: October half term, February half term, Easter Holidays, May half term and summer half term.
