With over 40 years in the travel industry, both at home and abroad, the founders of Vision Getaways bring a wealth of experience to the table. Initially starting with great days out visiting attractions, historic gardens, great shows and exhibitions along with flower festivals, Vision Getaways then started UK short breaks all of which proved very popular. In 2018 European Breaks and European River

Cruises were added to the program. Covid in 2020 hit very hard however through the loyalty of guests Vision Getaways managed to keep going and by mid 2021 the business was trading at the pre pandemic levels. 2022 promises to be a huge year for Vision Getaways with a program of 120 Daytrips, 22 UK holidays, 7 European River Cruises and 4 European land based making it our busiest year yet, and with a score of 4.8/5.0 on Trustpilot Vision Getaways must be doing something right!

Our Story

Founded in 2015 Vision Getaways was set up to provide high quality day trips at reasonable prices, with a management with over 35 years in the tourist trade. In 2016 we generated considerable business particularly in the Tendring area, with pick-ups in Weeley, Walton, Clacton, Frinton and Colchester we discovered a niche market of guests who wanted to travel on day trips with a really fun atmosphere. 2017 saw the introduction of UK short breaks to our programme, again the easy going convivial tone, was a major selling point and it proved really popular. So much so that during 2018 the number of short breaks increased to 6 including our first European trip and our first Christmas Holiday. 2019 saw a further expansion with 67 day trips between Feb and Oct and 13 Holidays including UK and European short breaks and the introduction of 4 European River Cruises. In 2020 the year started with fantastic sales figures and day trip and Holiday numbers were the highest ever. Then Covid 19 hit, and it hit hard, with the cancellation of all day trips from March through to August and the postponement of all Holidays, during this period things were bleak. However customers stuck by the business by postponing daytrips and holidays, many to 2021, this made a huge difference and played a major part in getting the business through this horrible time. Many customers have become regular guests with some already completing over 40 day trips and many returning and enjoying our short breaks. Join us and become a regular with Vision Getaways!!!!
