I actually keep a professional grade tourniquet in my handbag, and one in my car (driver's side) door;(and have done for over a year now), although I don't expect you all to do the same. But Keep U Safe Solutions does suggest you all to consider taking First Aid Training Classes, which now should have tourniquet training as standard. If it does not, then I want to know why not!

Hundreds of people, including nurses, teachers, police officers, social workers and the general public, have been trained in a 15-county region.

DO NOT COVER YOUR BABY'S PRAM WITH A BLANKET OR MUSLIN CLOTH - WARNING
The risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and overheating leading to infant death is dramatically increased when a young baby is exposed to intense heat - babies cannot regulate their own body heat. Which means that, while many parents believe they are sheltering their children from the sun, they could actually be placing them in more danger. Mosquito nets are safe as they allow air to circulate.

It is better to abandon the practice of using towels or thin blankets as a cover and instead place the pram in the shade, or invest in a parasol, as heat can rise dramatically in a short space of time.

Please stop doing this, encourage and educate others to stop and please share to raise this awareness.

The next time you hear someone complaining about health and safety, or whinging about too much red tape, or demanding that for every new regulation introduced, three are removed; when you hear someone say that it just costs too much to install sprinklers or fire doors or use fire-resistant materials, that profits are more important than safety; when firefighters, police and medical staff suffer cuts; when you are told that we can have low taxes AND good public services - think of this image. And pray for the people of Grenfell Tower.
