What a lovely day for my birthday yesterday! Had a fabulous meal at the priest house (Palacio Do Deao) which is approx half an hour away in a taxi. The house is being restored to its former glory by the current owners, Ruben and Celia Vasco da Gama. All the food is locally sourced and there is a lot of it! Originally built in 1787 Jose Paul was born in Portugal and was part of the entourage of Archbishop Dom Frei Manuel de Santa Catarina. He arrived in 1779. We then went back to Cavelossim where Edwin and all the lovely waiters gave me a cake and a bottle of fizz ❤️🎈🌹🍰🥂🥂

Coleshill really is a great place to live, work and play. The community came out in their droves for the light switch on last night. There were some great stalls selling lots of nice things too! It was a bit warmer in the shop though with a nice glass of mulled wine 🍷
