Smithy End is a self-contained cottage adjoining my home, The Smithy, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. A private front door leads to sitting room with woodburner, well-equipped kitchen, stairs to landing/dressing room, bathroom with shower and bath and double bedroom. One off-road parking space. Close to many favourite destinations: The Blackdown Hills AOONB, Bridport, Axminster, River Cottage,

Smithy End is accessed via its own front door. Keys can be collected from a key safe. There is an adjoining door on the ground floor between Smithy End and the main house which is kept locked from both sides so you will have total privacy. Woodburner with logs provided, TV with Netflix and games chest in sitting room. Well equipped kitchen with mini oven, 2-ring hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Lovely large landing with storage and corner reading chair. Super bathroom with efficient shower and bath. Cosy beamed double bedroom. All rooms have central heating. Outside is a small area with bench and guests are welcome to use my garden which is just through a gate a few steps away. There is one parking space in front of my garage. The Village Shop is just a minute’s walk away and is very well stocked with all essentials including off licence sales. Underway Meade is the village’s own wildlife area 5 mins walk away and there are many countryside walks from the village - details available in the cottage. The village is currently embarking on a scheme to turn our village pub, The Green Dragon, into a community pub. In the meantime it is closed. However, The Haymaker Inn is a two minute drive away - best to call to reserve a table. Contact details will be available in Smithy End. Between guests Smithy End will benefit from an enhanced cleaning process that goes beyond basic cleaning to sanitise the entire place.
