Something to try your hand at?

Our baking classes returned in 2024 with Isla accompanying her dad Iain in the bakehouse. The feedback has been wonderful:

Dear Iain and Isla,
We all loved our day baking with you. What a great privilege it was to be working with 8 generation bakers. We felt very welcomed by your hospitality and generosity with all the various helpful tips on bread making. We left inspired and excited… and we were thrilled to get the last 2 places on your pie making course. Thanks also to Laura for the coffee and the cakes. It was an additional bonus to be in the kitchen where all your lovely products are made and baked.

Welcome back to Drummond Castle Gardens!

Our open season has officially begun and the gardens are looking spectacular. Look out for the in the castle courtyard so you can grab a beverage and take in some stunning views and vistas. We can’t wait to see you all.

Our open season runs until the 31st October, opening hours 11am – 5pm. Last entry at 4pm.

This is a highlight of the year in Comrie. (We're booked up for 2024 but there's always next year!)

⬇️Share this with someone who doesn't know what we do!⬇️

The 2024 Comrie Fortnight gets underway on Saturday, July 20th with our Opening Ceremony down by the river.

It's followed by the Street Market, which gives all of our local clubs, charities and organisations the opportunity to put some funds into their coffers, so please come along and support them.

As usual we have a jam packed programme for all members of the community, with around 50 different activities and events, including the popular Pram Derby on Sunday 21st July. All ages are encouraged to take part in this crazy competition where teams (all in fancy dress) race their “prams” down the street.

Activities, such as the Get Groovy Dance Sessions, Footy Flicks and Tricks, Arts and Crafts and a Kids Disco follow throughout the rest of the Fortnight.

There will also be day trips, sports competitions, a production from Comrie Drama Club and much more.

Our booking office will be open in The White Church. Opening times can be found in the programme, which we are currently finalising to make it available to you as soon as possible so you can plan ahead!

On the middle Saturday (July 27th), everyone is invited to the Food and Craft Fair on the Boulevard, and the culmination of the whole Fortnight is our fantastic Float Parade on Saturday 3rd August, which is a great day out for all the family.

And, of course, we will also have Comrie Pipe Band entertaining us with regular performances.

Information on all our events will be posted on noticeboards throughout the village, and you will be able to pick up a free programme from local shops.

One way to get 2024 off to a good start.

Haggis Hunting starts tomorrow for whole of January.

Haggi are native to Scotland and very rare. Up until a few years ago people actually thought they were extinct and some people didnt believe they were real at all thinking they were simply mythical creatures.

At Auchingarrich, conservation efforts have paid off and we now have a healthy s**g of haggi!

For January we are offering ‘pay as you please’ entry to help support our conservation efforts so why not bring the family and see if you can spot a haggis.

Tip - they are shy and tend to hide during the day but if you whistle they may peep out their heads so keep a look out.

Don’t forget … the Dizzy Duck Cafe is open tomorrow and serving the famous Ultimate Burgers!

It’s a fab day out for the whole family.
