Tomorrow sees Coniston Power Boat Record Week return to Coniston once again 🚤

And with flat, calm conditions forecast for Coniston Water for the days ahead - speed records are likely to tumble.

Record Week is the gathering of Power Boat teams and drivers on Coniston Water. The event is considered by many as the world’s premier Water Speed Record meeting and sees British and International drivers attempt to raise the bar of speed record in their class of watercraft.

The 2024 event will be the 52nd Water Speed Record event held in the Lake District and will see watercraft of all sizes take to the lake here in Coniston.

Floods and road closures didn’t stop our dedicated housekeeping team from getting to Coniston today!

It took a accombination of trains and Land Rovers to help our housekeepers reach Coniston this morning after a road closure caused by a breached river cut off their route into the National Park.

Here are The Coppermines we are not about to let a spot of rain spoil any of our guest's holidays! ☔

And don't worry - all the roads into Coniston are now open 🚗
