This beautiful shepherd's hut is situated on it's own in an idyllic, riverside field that's called the 'Sheep Wash' as it's where sheep were gathered and washed in the river in years gone by. A compact ensuite bathroom has sink, shower and modern eco loo. There is mains water but solar panels provide power for lights and charging phones and laptops. There is a cool box but you can chill your wine
in the river! A woodburner keeps the hut very warm on chillier days. Bedding and towels are included and the kitchen is fully equipped. There are basic essentials like tea, coffee etc, provisions to make a continental breakfast and something homemade to welcome you. BBQ and firepit if you want to cook outdoors. A perfect base to explore the Lake District. The small market town of Ulverston is a couple of miles away where you'll find plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat - and even the world famous Laurel and Hardy Museum. Coniston Water is just a short drive away. A pitch for a small tent is available so bring the kids along to camp and make it a family holiday. Sorry but the hut isn't really suitable for dogs. Truely a hut for all seasons, not just the summer - wake up to the smell of bluebells in spring, stunning colours in the autumn or cosy up by the woodburner in winter. You can watch pheasants, buzzards circling and the heron catch his breakfast - maybe even glimpse the deer grazing at dawn or just the sheep!
