🚴🏼♀️ We love everything about cycling here at Adventurous Ewe and yesterday took it to the next level with the first stage of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Women's roaring through Conwy. The sound and the pace were electrifying as they passed the iconic Conwy Castle under a blanket of blue sky! Perfect motivation to jump back in the saddle and experience the thrill of being on two-wheels, though maybe at a slightly slower pace. Watch this space as we have a brand-new road cycling trip coming your way soon. Hint, it’s renowned as the ‘land of a thousand hills’. https://www.adventurousewe.co.uk/trip-type/bike/

🌟 “I've done two major long haul activity trips with Adventurous Ewe (Costa Rica and Vietnam/Cambodia) and they are excellent! Meticulous planning, detailed communications and quick response to any questions make them a standout. They also personally try the trips they sell and ensure they use the highest quality in country support/operations. I can't recommend them enough.” Stuart M Experience an incredible cultural journey as you pedal 450kms off the beaten track to immerse yourself in the rawness and beauty of Vietnam and Cambodia. Pedal to the rhythms of the mighty Mekong, witness the local way of life, experience the warmth and friendliness of the country’s rural hospitality. The most fun way to descend Mt Toubkal. Morocco Lets Go
WHAT IS AN ADVENTURE? Let’s take it back to what makes up the foundation of an adventure…. 🌎 It’s taking a leap outside your comfort zone; being drenched by tropical storms, searching for shade in unbearable heat and digging deep to keep going, blisters and all. 🌎 It’s climbing mountains, crossing deserts, trudging through jungles and connecting with other people in far flung places. 🌎 It’s a challenge taken on by ordinary, everyday people. A level playing field where teachers rub shoulders with chief execs, nurses mix with lawyers, builders work alongside bankers, and consultants team up with cleaners. 🌎 Adventure does not distinguish between experts or novices. There is nowhere to hide – if Mother Nature throws down the gauntlet, you all must be ready to face the same challenge. Tread the same muddy trail, endure epic long days, experience different or even difficult situations, face your fears and bond people from all walks of life. 🌎 It’s about discovery, immersing yourself in new environments, customs and cultures. Adventure will have you uncovering strengths, sharing laughter & tears and looking at the world in a whole new light. 🌎 It will teach you confidence, decisiveness and being self-aware. 🌎 It will give you a sense of freedom and opens up unlimited possibilities. Experiences that are so vivid and remarkable that they may even shape your life. Here at Adventurous Ewe, adventure is what we’re all about. This is what we want ewe to be part of. To discover the adventure in ewe. Immersing yourself in adventures worldwide to create your own experiences, stories and memories, which may even raise an eyebrow or two over dinner.

GREENLAND – WILDERNESS: A ONCE IN A LIFETIME ADVENTURE. The fjord systems of Southern Greenland are blessed with some of the most dramatic views the country has to offer – white mountains and green valleys, towering icebergs and landscapes in full bloom. Towns cling to its rocky coastline and vast glaciers slowly carve their way through the mountains. This is the place for a breath-taking adventure.Explore the depths of these fabulous fjords on a 5-day expedition that takes you through the second largest fiord system in the world by boat before hiking to a truly special place – Kangersuneq / the ice fiord! Here the Greenland ice cap meets the bottom of Nuuk fiord and fills it with thousands of years old ice. Hiking these vast landscapes and mountains, wild camping amid the raw ecological beauty whilst listening to the ice carving from the glaciers with a warm cup of coffee and a freshly cooked meal with herbs foraged from local surrounds, sets the scene for one heck of a journey.
An empowering and inspiring 75 seconds hearing from our female mountain guide, Judy, on our recent Kilimanjaro Trek. Judy has worked her way up to being a qualified mountain guide from starting as a porter on Kilimanjaro. Her love of her job and positive outlook is infectious as she hopes to encourage other women to follow in her footsteps. Here at Adventurous Ewe not only do we give our travellers a wider insight into the lives of the people and culture of the country they explore, providing a richer and fuller experience, we also practise and promote equality as part of our continual commitment to sustainable tourism through our Travelife Partner Award. Many thanks Judy and keep up the fantastic work. #maximumrespect #liveyourbestlife
Day 2 of the beautiful Lemosho Route on Kilimanjaro. The team are doing really well as they emerge from the rainforest to head across a plateau of grassy moorland and heather scattered with volcanic rock formations.Under a blanket of blue sky they’re making their way towards Shira 1 Camp to catch views of Kibo Peak floating above the clouds. And keeping an eye out for wildlife especially the Auger Buzzard. The team will gain a reasonable amount of altitude today with reaching Shira 1 Camp at 3600m. Happy days. https://www.adventurousewe.co.uk/trip/climb-kilimanjaro/
The best way to start the week…..day one of Kilimanjaro Trek. Join us in wishing this fantastic team all the very best for their trek of the highest freestanding mountain in the world! It’s great to be back ⛰️🇹🇿
