Please be aware if you are visiting the fantastic woods at Cardinham.

⚠ In 2 weeks forest operations will begin at Cardinham Woods ⚠

This necessary work will involve harvesting, extraction, and haulage of timber. The machines and equipment used are not safe to approach and we will be closing sections of the forest and trails to allow for this work to be carried out safely for our staff and visitors.

Woods Café and our play area remain open.

Closure information will be available on our website and on a pinned post on our page released soon.

Just two weeks to go until our Christmas Craft Fair - all our crafters will have a bumper selection of goodies for you to choose from, there will be Sue’s bacon baps in the cafe, hot chocolate outside on the terrace and lots of free tasters of some of our favourite products for you to try plus lots more to see over at the Institute - see you there 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Be careful…

The leaves are starting to change colour and the nights are drawing in.
Autumn is here … which means deer rutting season 🦌.

Prior to and during the rut, you may see male deer (stags or bucks) groaning, walking parallel to each other and even fighting. It can be quite a sight, but it can also be dangerous as the males are full of testosterone.

It is really important that this natural behaviour is not disturbed, if you do see rutting, please stick to the paths or trails and keep your dogs under control.

We have both red and roe deer here at Cardinham. If you're lucky, you may get a chance to see this amazing spectacle 👀

Just a peek at what is coming up for November 2023!

𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 - 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿
Join us for our Bingo on Wednesday 8th November. The charity being supported is the incredible Cornwall Air Ambulance. There will be a fundraising raffle on the night as well. Many local businesses are already making donations to this fabulous cause to win on the night.

We are asking for a 6:30 arrival so that the fun can get underway for 7pm.

Our November Quiz Night will be held on Friday 10th November and will be supporting local organisation, Big Shots Football School.

Quizmaster Roger Sleep will be running the quiz and there will be another raffle on the night. It costs just £2 per person to play the quiz and we do ask that teams limit themselves to a maximum of 8 persons. The quiz will start at 7:30 at the latest.

Get your sombreros ready, as our all-you-can-eat buffet switches from Italian to Mexican for Fridays in November.

We will be serving Quesadillas, Beef Enchiladas, Beef and Vegetarian Chilli, Tortilla Chips, and you'll be able to build your own Fajitas. Not to mention rice, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, jalapeños and Mexican coleslaw.
