Corsham, an historic town with everything from peacocks to Poldark!
Just 10 miles from Bath and on the fringe of the Cotswolds, you will find the historic market town of Corsham. A hidden gem waiting to be explored.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside and with a historic High Street made up of mellow stone buildings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, it is now home to a wide variety of independent retailers and its colourful but noisy residents, peacocks, which roam freely from their home at Corsham Court.
With its beautiful architecture, Corsham has provided a backdrop for many films and TV productions over the years including Poldark - the first series of the BBC’s hit drama was filmed in the High Street. Corsham has also featured in The Suspicions of Mr Whicher, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Larkrise to Candleford and The Remains of the Day.
