Happy Plough Monday!

Plough Monday marks the unofficial start of the farming year, when we start to look forward to all that the year will bring.

From lambing and harvesting, to maintenance jobs (never ending!) and milking, a farm is never quiet and farmers are always working away, providing the country with food day in, day out.

Derbyshire farmer David Brown of @hoegrangeholidays, one of our wonderful members, has been busy over the last couple of months with his newest invention. Say hello to the Auto Poo Picker 3000, which eliminates the back breaking work of poo pucking the fields - particularly useful for horse owners who have to pick the paddocks! This exciting new machine works by creating a strong electromagnetic field using a centrifugal based generator driven by the tractor's PTO shaft. The electromagnetic field attracts the special tiny ball bearings that can be added to animal feed 🧲 Just marvel at how easily the poo flies up and into the receptacle - no more poo picking by hand! This is a sneak preview though - David isn't ready to release this fabulous machine on the open market yet. There are a few tweaks to make first. Turns out, the food additive can have dangerous side effects when fed to horses prone to flatulence... 🐴💨 Disclaimer - please don't conduct any of your own experiments with your horse's feed!
