Some fantastic guided rockpool safaris coming up this February with island marine biologists Theo Vickers and Laura McConnell! With safaris running throughout half-term, there’ll also be 2 special seagrass safari sessions at Seaview on 1st February (this Saturday!) and Sunday 2nd March!

Exploring Castle Cove, Bembridge Ledges and St Helens Duver, the half-terms safaris should produce some incredible marine life encounters
from montagu’s crabs and conger eels, to bobtail squid and plaice, and as spring begins to arrive it’ll be great to see what other marine species can be encountered and recorded as darkness falls!

The special seagrass safaris will take place at Seaview, with the powerful tidal ranges in early February and March exposing the edge of the intertidal meadows for guests to explore! These dusk low tide sessions will be a great way to explore and learn about life in this beautiful marine habitat without having to snorkel or dive, with the potential for encounters with everything from catshark eggcases to anemones, pipefish and sea slugs!

Please note: To limit disturbance seagrass safari numbers will be limited to just 10 guests per session.
