Join us on our Two Ports Cruise of Cowes & Portsmouth
⛵Cruise through Cowes Harbour, world famous for yachting, out into the Solent with fantastic views of the Island coastline, Osborne House and Norris Castle.
⛴We then cruise on across the eastern Solent with views of the Solent sea forts and into the Portsmouth Naval Base, home of the Royal Navy, past and present.
📆This cruise runs Wednesdays and Thursdays from our Thetis Wharf Terminal in Cowes.

Today, passengers on the Portsmouth Harbour tour were treated to the ultimate close-up of the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales, which was being turned around (referred to as wind ship in navy circles.) Usually if a carrier is being moved the harbour is closed off, but not today! *Photos courtesy of Mark Chett.)

Spot the difference??
This past week the former HMS Bristol was moved from her Whale Island berth for the last 30 years to Portsmouth naval base to be prepared for disposal. The sole Type 82 destroyer is rumored to be off for scrap in September. Catch the Falklands veteran on a harbour tour before she departs for the final time.

D-Day 80th commemoration week.
This week, Portsmouth will be the focus of the country's attention with commemorations to remember the greatest invasion in history that helped free Europe from N**i tyranny. Events include fly pasts, sail past by ships, a drone light show, and culminating in armed forces weekend on Southsea Common.
Just last week, Solent Cruises were visited by a group from the Museum of American GIs who are participating in events over here and in France.

We have a lot of people ask us about the dog on the Portsmouth Harbour tours. His name is Tuco, and he is a second-generation sea dog who took over from his father Gizmo as Captain Dan's trusty side kick.
Tuco can often be seen at Gunwharf eyeing up the crowds from the wheelhouse.

Next Friday the 7th June Deck-a-Dance returns come and hop aboard and celebrate a musical revival with us.

Join DJ Tony Martin as he takes you dancing through the decades every half an hour.

Starting from the 60s, Tony will spin the biggest hits and visuals from each era – right up until the present day.

Board the boat from 7.00pm, before departing at 7.30pm.

You will cruise around the Solent partying away to your favourite chart toppers, sing-a-long ballads and top floorfillers – before returning at 10.30pm.

Yesterday, HMS Duncan departed Portsmouth for a six month deployment to the Red Sea and a date with Houthi drone attacks. As usual, a Solent Cruises boat was on hand to wave the ship off. Safe travel HMS Duncan and see you at Christmas.

Devan is only 5 years old and has already expressed a wish to be a captain for Solent Cruises. So impressed by Devan's passion for our boats, Alicat crew member Steve Dudley kindly got Devan a one of a kind Solent Cruises Jigsaw. It's fair to say Devan was in pieces when he received his gift!!

On this day 11 years ago, Solent Cruise boat Wight Scene under the command of skipper Mark Rayment under took a tour from Portsmouth to es**rt the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal out on her final voyage to the scrapyard. As he led the carrier out, Captain Rayment played a rousing Rule Britannia over the ship's address system and got the passengers to cheer the ship, priceless.....

We bid farewell to boat crew member Keiran today. After a year at Solent Cruises, Keiran has got a job with SMS Towage based out of Portsmouth. He will now learn the ropes with the towage company and be involved in some big jobs such as handling cruise ships and occasionally the aircraft carriers. We wish Keiran well and thank him for all his hard work. No doubt we will see him around the Solent (make sure you give us a wave, Keiran!!)

Another RN warship close encounter at Portsmouth on Sunday saw passengers on both the Alicat and Jenny R pass the arriving HMS St Albans. Only on a harbour tour can you get this close to the warships.
