Job completed last week in Portsmouth, one of our workboats and pontoons assisted in installing scaffold ready for Christmas works on the structure.

Our aluminium spud legs were used to hold the pontoon in position under the bridge. Due to very limited access through an underpass with pedestrian bollards either end our Tracked Carrier was used to carry the pontoons and scaffold materials under the motorway to the site.

That’s a wrap for our team working on the Ryde Pier project for 2024. All pontoons and boats brought safely back to our yard today for the Christmas period. The access pontoon has been secured with extra lines holding it away from the structure too.

Our team will be back on the 2nd January with the rest of the supply chain to continue on with the programme🚂

Our team working on Lymington Viaduct are now gearing up for a very busy Christmas Blockade with most of our Ryde Pier team joining them🎄

Mobilising our Spider Crane and Lighting Tower onto a double stacked pontoon we built last week. After being towed to site by our workboat Rebel Anchorman the pontoon was prepped for loading of the crane.

The crane will be operating from the pontoon over Christmas into the New Year 🎄

We have 2 of these great tracked carriers for hire! Capable of carrying 1.2 tonne over rough and difficult terrain, with non-marking rubber tracks.

Over the last 2 weeks we have been providing water access to undertake inspections on a bridge on the Basingstoke Canal.
With no slipways accessible our crane trailer lifted the pontoon sections and boat in and out of the canal as required.

Another double stack pontoon built in our yard, ready to head out to site later this week. With 9m spud legs, self raising on electric winches. Timber matting to protect the deck and fendering down the sides.

Our newest addition to the fleet, the Jekko Spider Crane was out on its first job the other week. Lifting out sections of pontoon from a difficult to reach site.

The access to the water was a boggy track that was very close to a deep pond. With the track matting down our spider crane tracked itself into position before deploying its outriggers. Our tracked carrier was ideal for the donkey work taking the equipment up and down the track to the road.

Our crane trailer was waiting up on the road to lift the equipment off the tracked carrier and onto the bed of the trailers. A great showcase for how our tracked plant can make light work of an awkward access.
Less manual handling and less man hours!

Our crane pontoon being carefully pushed under the bridge at Lymington. A great weather window was the perfect opportunity this week to get the pontoon through the bridge and into position.

The spud legs were stowed on the deck due to the restricted airdraft. Our marine knuckle boom crane then lifted them back into the holders on the other side of the bridge.

New addition to the fleet🏗️🎉 The Jekko SPX532 is the largest mini crane in its category able to pass through a single
door, it offers substantial lifting capacity in relation to its weight, dimensions.

Adding to our extensive range of specialist equipment and plant. Complementing our floating marine plant and cranes, this latest addition will offer more capability in harder to reach areas where a crane would normally be required to lift a marine crane onto the pontoon. Our new spider crane can launch the pontoons then track itself onto the deck to be set up.

Important features include the 1 tonne hydraulic flyjib, the maximum height of
which, at 17.3 metres, can be compared to that of a higher category of crane. This spider crane can be put on a trailer and towed by a 4x4.
Self levelling outriggers.
Virtual wall/ Working range limitation.
4 independent ‘J’ level stability areas

Our C1e Compact Electric Tracked Crane in action in London a couple weeks ago. Lowering tonne bags of materials over the embankment wall to construct gabion baskets around an outfall.

With very limited access from the shore and underwater obstructions ruling out a water access, our tracked crane was the ideal solution. With its non marking tracks and small footprint we were able to track the machine down the recently finished footpaths. Once in position we utilised its winch to lower the tonne bags 10m down to the shoreline at low water.

Our teams on the Ryde Pier and Lymington sites working this weekend day and night providing safety cover for the ongoing works.

The 110v led strip lights were very effective for lighting up the access pontoon at Lymington.

More progress on the scaffolding at Sherrington meant that our pontoons could move along to the next spans. The other day our team split the pontoon down and relocated into the next areas ready for more scaffolding.

Pontoon installation we completed week before last at Lymington. One of our Aluminium gangway lands on a 2m wide walkway out to where personnel and equipment will board the workboats and working pontoons.

The walkway is accessible at high and low tide allowing uninterrupted access for day to day and emergency use. A great example of how our modular pontoons can make water access easy.
