Happy New Year -

I’m back at my desk and silly season has officially begun for all of us working in travel! The enquiries have been rolling in since Boxing Day and it seems everyone is chomping at the bit to get those 2025 holidays organised ☀️

I’d thought I’d kick off 2025 with some Italian inspiration 🇮🇹A client has been in touch today hoping to visit Puglia in May for some rest, relaxation and slow sightseeing.

Just booked ✨

It’s ski season and I’ve been busy quoting and booking your ski holidays.

Most recently I’ve organised an Easter trip to Obergurgl, Austria for a family of beginner skiers. Obergurgl is not only perfect for families and beginners, it’s also ideal for April ski trips as snowfall is guaranteed.

They will stay at Hotel Gurglhof, a stylish and centrally located hotel just a minute’s walk from the ski lift. Flights, transfers, ski passes, ski gear and lessons are all taken care of too.

Cycling in Japan -

If an active holiday is your thing, this one’s for you. My brother and his boyfriend are currently travelling in Japan and have sent me this amazing video of a cycling route they’ve just completed.

They’ve cycled across 6 islands from Imabari to Onomichi, crossing several impressive bridges and soaking up the scenery along the way. Luggage was transferred for them from one destination to the next, so all they needed was an overnight bag.

With the yen weaker than usual, now is a great time to visit Japan to get a bit more bang for your buck 🇯🇵

Just booked ✨

With a flurry of recent enquiries and bookings, it’s been on my mind to get my own family holiday booked for next year before the best rates get snapped up. So my weekend was spent planning Summer 2025 and yesterday we booked 🥳

Here’s where we’re going…

* Depart London Heathrow to Singapore with (my favourite airline!)

* Three nights at the ultra cool on Sentosa Cove

* Days out at Universal Studios, water parks, city exploring, shopping and the night safari

* Fly to Koh Samui, Thailand

* 10 nights of laid-back island life staying in a Duplex One-Bedroom Suite at SALA Samui Choengmon Beach

* Days out on snorkelling trips, island hopping, visit to the Elephant Sanctuary and Pig Island…and lots of relaxation in between 🌴

* Fly home to London

It’s been 16 years since we left our expat life in Singapore and I can’t wait to return to see how it’s changed and show the kiddies around.

Koh Samui is one of the few places in Thailand that stays warm and sunny throughout the summer, avoiding the Monsoon that affects other areas. July/ August is a great time of year to visit Singapore too with less humidity.

Kenya Safari + Beach

Is anyone else feeling like the days are rolling into weeks at the moment? Autumn has been particularly busy this year and there’s no sign of it slowing down 🫣

This week, I’ve been working on a safari in Kenya for Summer 2025, combining 4 nights in the bush across three different national parks and 7 nights on the beautiful Kenyan coast.

July/August is the best time to visit Kenya as it’s when the Great Migration takes place. Over 2 million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara in search of green pasture. And more wildebeest = more predators.

A lot of the best flight fares have already sold out for next summer, so it pays to be planning far in advance for a bucket list African adventure.

October Hotspot - Dubai

It may only be 1st October today but it feels like January! My boots and winter jumpers are out already 🥶

The colder weather always kickstarts enquiries and I’ve been busy booking trips to warmer destinations in October. The favourite this month? Dubai…

After the scorching heat of summer in the Middle East, October is the ideal time to visit with temperatures reaching early-mid 30s.

There’s SO much to do for all ages…here are some of my recommendations:

* Go on a desert safari in a vintage Land Rover and watch the sun setting over the dunes while enjoying an Arabian supper

* Enjoy the thrills and spills of Dubai’s best water parks such as Wild Wadi and Aquaventure

* Book breakfast at the top of the Burj Khalifa on the 122nd floor and watch the city wake up.

* Hop aboard an abra across Dubai Creek for less than a dollar.

* Go scuba diving at Deep Dive Dubai, housed in an oyster shell shaped building and with a depth of 60 metres

* Visit the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary to see a flamboyance of wild flamingos

* Wander around Bur Dubai, one of the oldest parts of the city where you’ll find an abundance of galleries, museums and the Old Souk. Further down the creek is the new Afaneen Collective.

Just booked ✨

A 15 night trip to Thailand for a 10-year wedding anniversary, beginning with three nights in Bangkok staying at the luxurious hotel located right on the Chao Phraya River with ferry shuttles to see the key sights of this vibrant city.

They’ll then fly down to the gorgeous island of Koh Samui for 12 nights of R&R at . The hotel is renowned for its personal service and relaxing vibe, and sits in a prime beachfront position in a quiet area of Koh Samui, yet within easy reach of local restaurants, bars and shops.

Arriving at Samui’s thatched-roof airport is an experience in itself and you’ll immediately be immersed in the island spirit.

Disney Fever -

When it comes to holiday experiences that the kids will remember forever, Disney delivers every time!

Photos have landed in my What’s App this morning from this gorgeous family who have ended a 3-week road trip through Europe with two magical days .

They stayed in the recently renovated Disneyland Hotel located within the parks and offering the benefit of an extra hour in the parks exclusively for guests and the chance to meet the Princesses in person 💕

Golden Girl!

I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately because, truthfully, I’ve gone Olympics obsessed! And tonight’s gold by .hodgkinson was the icing on the cake 🙌💪

I didn’t really need another reason to love Paris but they’ve definitely delivered on the Olympics front. I only wish I’d made it out there to watch in person.

If LA’s Olympics are calling, let’s make it happen and turn it into a trip of a lifetime 🏅
