Wootten Deer Park is a rural haven, away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Enabling you to reconnect with nature, giving you the opportunity to see the world and even yourself, that little bit differently. That doesn’t mean you have to rough it! glamping (glamorous camping) is the best way to experience the rugged outdoors without having to compromise on modern comforts, such as comfort
able beds and hot showers. Fall asleep to the natural sounds of the wildlife settling in for the night. Our wood and canvas Safari Lodges ‘Fallow’ & ‘Roe’ benefit from an elevated position within a 15-acre field, overlooking the deer enclosure which is screened by woodland and hedging. Each lodge enjoys wonderful far-reaching views across the deer park and the neighbouring countryside beyond, enabling you to watch the deer at your leisure, day and night. Our lodges are comfortably furnished throughout and each sleep 6 people (maximum of 4 adults), benefiting from mains electric, mains drainage, an LPG gas water heater for instant hot water, gas hob, wood burner/oven, TV, broadband and 2 x external sunken whirlpool bath baths on the decking. The large 6 x 6 metre deck area juts out into the deer enclosure, enhancing your deer experience. Ideal for couples, friends and families looking for the ultimate relaxing glamping experience. Our deer have either been hand reared or handled on a regular basis, so should you wish to get even closer to the deer, we do offer the opportunity for you to feed the deer (the perfect photo/selfie opportunity) accompanied by one of our rangers, giving you and your family the chance to really observe the deer up close. A short distance from the lodges is a sunken communal woodfired firepit and seating area, perfect for you to enjoy a glass or mug of something you fancy and perhaps a s’more! (A s'more is a campfire treat consisting of one or more toasted marshmallows and a layer of chocolate placed between two pieces of biscuit). Only 20 minutes from the A30 and Dartmoor, Wootten Deer Park makes for the perfect rural retreat.
