Today, the Tax Return deadline gracefully comes to a close, and at EOG Accounting, we’ve wrapped up with a smile!

If you didn’t quite get all your ducks in a row for the 5 April 2023 tax year, here are some golden tips as to why you should submit your Tax Return as early as possible after 5 April this tax year.
📅 Plan - By completing your Tax Return early, you give yourself the optimum time to budget and save towards your Tax bill before the 31st January deadline.
💴 Did someone say Tax Refund! - It’s possible you could be owed a Tax Refund, and if so, the sooner you submit your information, the sooner you’ll get the cash back!
⏰ Time - In order to submit your Tax Return, you’ll need all the relevant documents such as P45s, P60s, Expenses, Invoices, Bank Statements, Pension information, etc. If you haven’t got this information to hand, it can take time to gather them so the earlier you start the process, the more time you give yourself to gather everything you need.
⛔️ Zero stress! - December/January can be stressful enough as it is, it’s said that 1 in 5 business owners dread doing their Tax Return and therefore leave it until the last minute, but it doesn’t have to be like that, get organised, submit early, and give yourself the best chance possible to budget and save to pay your Tax bill in January.
