Flint Barn sleeps 4 guests in a King and Twin, and 1 well behaved dog is welcome (2 upon request), and private parking for 1 car and there is a lovely large sun trap patio at the rear. Flint Barn is available for short breaks or week long stays. Usual changeover days Fridays and Mondays but can be flexible. Rates from £95 per night. Full details:

Flint Barn is a charming brick and flint barn conversion offering guests an oasis of comfort and calm for a relaxing and memorable stay. It is tucked away in a beautiful cul-de-sac moments from the village centre and beach - and with everything you will need for a perfect coastal escape it is a real home from home! There are 2 bedrooms for up to 4 persons (king and twin), bathroom with bath and over bath shower, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and an incredible light filled living area with its beautiful 3 meter high picture window. There is a smart TV with Freeview plus Sky TV and superfast Wifi. In the village you will find 2 pubs, a well stocked shop, independent coffee shop and delicious take away fish and chips. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the stunning (and dog friendly) East Runton beach where you can swim, surf or paddle board. It is lifeguarded in the Summer and has Blue Flag status. Facilities at the Barn include comfortable king-size and twin bedrooms and upstairs bathroom (shower over bath). There is also a snug room with another TV and desk set up in case you need a quiet space to read or catch up on emails. Downstairs has large lounge with stunning 3 meter high picture window, two sofas and a separate kitchen and dining room. The outside has a spacious rear enclosed patio to sit and enjoy the sunny days or relax with a drink or have a bbq. As the owner I strive to make sure my guests have an amazing and memorable visit to the stunning North Norfolk Coast - and so before you arrive I will send you comprehensive notes so you can plan your days out and meals out or where to buy the best local produce for nights in! The traditional seaside town of Cromer with its world famous pier is a 15 minute walk along the beach/coast path or short drive and Sheringham (with its famous steam train) is also a short drive away. Holkham, Wells next the sea are all easily accessible or visit the beautiful Georgian town of Holt, or head to the Broads. Or take the train into Norfolk's capital Norwich with its diverse shopping, art and music culture and great restaurants, cathedral, castle, and museums. For foodies you will be perfectly placed to sample Cromer crab and lobster at wonderful places like Rocky Bottoms - walking distance from the Barn. A short drive away is the outstanding Gunton Arms, or sample fish and chips from Michelin starred chef owned Upstairs at Number one in Cromer. National Trust gems Felbigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Blickling Hall are very close by all offering stunning walks and tea rooms and you can soak up the famous big skies of Norfolk. Planning to visit the North Norfolk Coast? Here's why should you pick Flint Barn and why it is the BEST location to enjoy all this area has to offer 🤩🤩

So…it’s a couple of minutes walk to the stunning East Runton blue flag awarded beach - where you can take a dip, or walk to the iconic seaside town of Cromer just 1 mile away. You can walk for miles in either direction at low tide!

In Cromer see the famous pier, and enjoy a show at the Cromer Pier theatre or visit the RNLI Cromer lifeboat station. Or walk around this lively seaside town and soak up the atmosphere and lovely shops and eat at unique, independently run places like No1 Cromer

Back in the village dine at White Horse East Runton or grab a pint at the Fishing Boat or fish & chips from Wills - or stroll along to Rocky Bottoms for divine local caught lobster and crab 🦞. Plus if you’ve forgotten anything visit the best stocked village shop ever!

Visit National trust gems with Flebrigg Hall just up the road (5 mins in the car). Or short drives take you to Blickling Estate NT or Sheringham Park NT where you can enjoy great walks, a cup of tea and cake or take park on the park 🏃

Or sit back and enjoy the steam train from Sheringham to the holt on North Norfolk Railway PLC and mooch around these fantastic towns with lots of places to shop, eat or have coffee and cake.

As many of my Guests know, as well as being passionate about providing all of my guests a truly memorable holiday at Flint Barn, I’m also mad about cold water dipping in the North Sea (which I do most days!).

It’s well documented that there are significant health and wellbeing benefits from cold therapy including a dip in the sea - and it’s all here on the doorstep of Flint Barn as you can see from the photo 😀.

Maybe you already dip local to where you live, or cold shower or have an ice bath in your garden - but if you've not tried our beautiful North Sea I highly recommend!

Today marks the autumnal equinox and with it the start of a beautiful season up here on the North Norfolk Coast.

With emptier beaches for bracing walks as the temperature cool, steam train adventures, pubs serving locally produced food with roaring fires and cosy cafes for a hot drink to enjoy after a day out exploring it's a great place to be.

A couple of minutes walk from Flint Barn is the Norfolk Coast Path where you can then walk along the cliff top path, and enjoy fabulous views!

Along the way you can see horses and ponies from the Hillside Animal Sanctuary, stop for a coffee at the West Runton Beach Cafe and then head back inland to West Runton and have lunch at the The Village Inn West Runton or visit the animal sanctuary and head back to Flint Barn over Incleborough Hill and enjoy spectacular views along the Coast.

A great day trip from Flint Barn is the Norfolk Broads National Park - a unique patchwork of rivers and lakes with over 125 miles of navigable waterways, stunning wildlife, walks and more!

This weekend we explored Potter Heigham - home to the famous Lathams of Potter Heigham - where you can explore their shopping emporium! You can find beautiful walks along the waterways, hire an electric boat for a few hours (or the day) at Phoenix Boat Hire and finish up with delicious fish and chips at Nippy Chippy On The Broads.
