What a year 2024 was!! It’s impossible to pick a favourite moment, but here are just a few of the highlights. From surf lessons at croyde. sessions. greatness. Beach lifeguard courses and surf instructor training. Epic coasteering sessions. We can’t wait for even bigger and better things in 2025. Thank you to everyone that joined us this year. We hope you had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. We can wait to open our surf school for the new season.

We are incredibly proud to have been able to work with Ian Bennett from Wave Project at our adaptive surf centre on Croyde beach. Ian’s fantastic work for the adaptive surfing community has been rewarded with a BBC Sport unsung hero award. Be sure to tune into Sports Personality of the year this evening. 7pm on BBC 1, to see if Ian wins the overall award.

We are relaunching our research into surfing and its perceived culture. Please help make this our best survey yet but completing it and then sharing it far and wide - for all communities not just those who surf! This is for EVERYONE!!!

This years Christmas tree at Croyde beach has been put together entirely from discarded tents collected by beach rangers.

This summer over 150 discarded tents were collected by the team at Croyde, along with hundreds of bodyboards and beach toys.

If you are planning on coming to the beach in 2025, please source quality products that will last or source hire from the holiday park on the beach.

Surf South West are back in Lanzarote for a winter surf adventure with the and Community Case Management. We have been blessed with waves and sunshine and everyone has cought lots of waves made lots of progression and had a daily swim in the sea. The days have been full with plenty of time to laugh, eat and surf. A massive thank you to for lending equipment, you guys are awesome. Here are a few pictures of the squad.
