We are incredibly proud of all of our members and those of our affiliated clubs across Greater Manchester.

Collectively, we are doing brilliant things with our youth, empowering them, encouraging them, and showing them purpose and challenge. We do this by raising aspirations and removing barriers.

It was stunning weather for Barton AC - Shacklady's Gym to visit Ormside Mill Residential Centre just over a week ago.

Young people from their Salford based boxing gym, thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent outdoors ghyll scrambling, rock climbing, canoeing and other action packed activities from their base, situated right in the heart of the Eden Valley, Cumbria.

We love providing adventures and lasting memories

More young people from our affiliated club Stockport Lads Club a fantastic time in the Cumbrian fresh air, sampling the adventure facilities on offer Ormside Mill Residential Centre last month.

We love to see and share photos of the experiences on offer to young people from across Greater Manchester when they visit Ormside. Perspectives and aspirations are changed when young people challenge their capabilities supported by the residential and youth work teams accompanying them, and as a charity we are proud to help deliver these aspirational opportunities.

One of our affiliated clubs Families Against Violence headed to Ormside Mill Residential Centre last month for a weekend full of adventure for their young people.

The growth and development demonstrated by the young people really impressed the team of instructors at Ormside as well as the accompanying volunteers.

A particular highlight according to staff and volunteers, was the resilience and compassion that shone through during Ghyll Scrambling.

They all had a great day out in the sun on Saturday completing both canoeing as well as Ghyll Scrambling! Another truly awesome adventure.
