School’s out for summer so why not make your way down to Dumfries House and estate for an adventure-filled family day out?

Our nature-based Adventure Playground, which is free to access, features winding rope bridges, netting tunnels, racing slides, wooden educational games and a suspension bridge.

The playpark encourages family members of all ages and abilities to play outdoors together while engaging with, and learning from, nature.

Save the Date - Dumfries House Fun Horse Show 🐴

We are delighted to announce a Fun Horse Show will be held here at Dumfries House in collaboration with The British Horse Society on Sunday 1 September.

Details on how to enter will be announced in due course.

We'd like to advise visitors to the estate that The Maze is currently closed for essential maintenance. We will share an update as soon as it is ready to reopen.

The Adventure Playground remains open for visiting families to enjoy at no cost.

There's just one week to go until the Dumfries House Fun Dog Show 2024 🐶

Held in aid of BRAVEHOUND, the show will feature a number of light-hearted classes including Best Trick, Dog That Looks Most Like Their Owner and Best Rescue Dog.

Advanced registration costs just £2 per class and is open now in the Visitor Centre, while registration on the day costs £3.

There will be also be a market on the day for those looking to do some shopping, or to find out about local pet services and charities in the area.

Spectators are encouraged to come along to observe the fun 🐾
