Its with much sadness that i have to let all our family , friends and guests that we have come to know over the years that Michele passed away this morning after a short battle with cancer. She was at home where she loved with myself, family and her beloved dogs by her side. Les

Lovely picture of Loch Awe and the mountain beyond taken by one of our regular guests from in front of the lodges here at Argyll Chalets. The water was so calm that the mirrored reflections were perfect. We are so lucky to have this magnificent landscape right on our doorstep.

A lovely photo taken here at Argyll Chalets by one of our last guests staying here before we closed to ensure social isolation guidelines. Today was Les and mine 10th Anniversary as owners of Argyll Chalets at Sonachan House .

We just wanted to say to all our guests which have become friends and everyone who has enjoyed staying with us , , we are so grateful for you continuing to carry on visiting us , we are thank you all.

We are closing down the business for 5 weeks ( to be reviewed as and when ) .

Please, everyone just do what is asked of us all. Social distance, please do not travel unless necessary . If we commit to this then our NHS will be able to do what they do best...........looking after us all ,

Keep Safe, where possible look after those in need and lets all keep safe xx

Has anyone visited the Corryvrecken whirlpool? 3rd largest whirlpool in the world and quite an experience. Find out for yourself with a little road and boat trip from Argyll Chalets.

Just off the Scottish West Coast and south of Oban it is one of the largest permanent whirlpools on earth and one of the most dangerous stretches of water around the British Isles. It is said that at certain times the roar is so loud that it can be heard ten miles away. At full strength the currents can reach over 10 knots and produce waves over 9 m high.
