We always stop at Jawbones and take in the ever-changing bustle of the river Dart, it really is a very special place.

If you can’t face the steep walk home, catch the regular bus service to Deer Park 😊

The Start Bay Inn can be found along the seafront at Torcross, specialising in seafood and know locally for their fabulous fish and chips.

They offer the best ice-cream and sorbet at their takeaway hatch too…because ice-cream is always a good idea! ☔️⛈

Blackpool Sands is a privately owned beach of golden shingle, nestled amongst evergreens and pines.

The sheltered bay is popular with families throughout the summer with kayak hire available for those seeking a little more adventure.

This beautiful beach is just a 30 minute walk from Venn Park, or a 5 minute drive with plenty of paid parking available.

The Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta is taking place this year on the 24-27 August. The town of Dartmouth really comes alive with the bustle of traders, rowing races, music, family fun and a firework finale!

Our bungalow is still currently available to book over Regatta and we can’t think of a better place to reside. Offering a peaceful, village location but within walking distance of all the action!
